i think it's normal for SN to cause a cooling sensation when it dissolves in water. but it shouldn't be too much because we are not dissolving a huge amount. SN even in ice cold water should dissolve. SN solubility is 71 grams per 100 mL of water in ice cold water. but better do it in water already room temp.
