  • Hey Guest,

Today, OFCOM launched an official investigation into Sanctioned Suicide under the UK’s Online Safety Act. This has already made headlines across the UK.

This is a clear and unprecedented overreach by a foreign regulator against a U.S.-based platform. We reject this interference and will be defending the site’s existence and mission.

In addition to our public response, we are currently seeking legal representation to ensure the best possible defense in this matter. If you are a lawyer or know of one who may be able to assist, please contact us at [email protected].

I've been thinking in ways of overcoming SI and I came to a conclusion that maybe, the best way to do it Is to accept whatever you are feeling at the moment and still commit..

A great idea. Speaking from experience, SI cares little for great ideas. If it worked like that I wouldn't be here

As much as I think it's good that people have the ability here to preach what they're feeling and telling you to just 'get over it', ultimately you're toying with your life and I personally have the opinion that there's no way of completely getting rid of it. At the end of the day, acceptance and trying your best to overcome whatever it is you're feeling is the best option available. You don't want to CTB with feelings of regret, anger, etc. In my eyes it should be peaceful and graceful, like the sky transitioning from blue to black.

Like, I didnt mean that literally everyone should do that and just overcome, In reality I was talking about myself, and expressed it In a wrong way. Sorry ;; I meant like, thats what worked for me. Did that make sense?

I was more talking about what D&D said, rather than criticizing your OP.

Hi @britter

Just to clarify - the short sentence I wrote was meant to say that, in my opinion at least, while we may not be able to ever get rid off the fear, we might be able to 'control' it by acknowledging it. Resulting in, to borrow your words, 'peaceful and graceful' exit - if this is our ultimate goal.

No preaching intended. Ever.

It is difficult to overcome the survival instinct as even know we want to die, we are programmed to survive. More than anything I wish it was easier to leave. I believe at least for me, being in a state of complete desperation will mean that I am more likely to be able to overcome the SI. Whatever happens, I wish you the best.

Ending our own lives is inherently alien … I can't imagine it ever feels natural … especially if we are relatively young and healthy… no matter how desperate we are, it still feels like an act of madness…

If you do it by impulse, while at the same time choosing a highly reliable and ideally easy-to-prepare method, you're gonna be successful.
