Should suicide for organs be allowed

think about it if you are ready to depart and your organs will save someone you can go to the hospital for your suicide (fresher organs) they can provide you with methods that won't harm organs and let you have at it.. you could even sell different organs they can also use skin and bones and give the money to friends or relatives or allow you to have fun with the money for 30 days why not you're dead anyway may as well make money out of it (I know this may piss people off)

I am planning on attempting to having my body donated to a local med school for research purposes—it's illegal here in US to receive payment for body parts but at least the med school would pay for cremation (which can cost $3000). If my body is accepted that is. Not all bodies are.

I know. this was kind of a wouldn't it be nice sort of thing think if the laws changed and you could sell organs you could have brokers trying to sell the most organs at the best price you would have poor and unemployed people beating down the door think if your family has nothing they could get between 50k and 250k for the family

There's an episode of House MD that actually focuses on this point, from a utilitarian standpoint I don't see why it shouldn't be allowed, especially if the person willingly goes through with euthenasia.

some people would obviously be coerced but if a persons family has been struggling for years and they are suffering severe depression yes he could make a shitload of money for his family and finally be at peace I call that a win win situation he wins he gets peace his family wins they are out of poverty the people getting the organs win they are healthier who can argue with that situation

Was thinking about this today actually. I'm an organ donor so I wouldn't want my brain blown away or anything. That way they can continue to study depression/suicide etc. and hopefully find a cure someday. Makes Ktb harder though, as you'd need to be found relatively quickly to be able to donate.

Me too and donate blood. I wish there was a way my organs could be saved. Seems such a waste.

Very good question I'm an organ donor signed up to give everything... I ll have to look into my method to see if it would affect it. Quite like the idea of giving someone else an opportunity from my misery.

Not interested in the financial gain unless my family was struggling !

It would be nice if that was an option. I wouldn't want to donate my organs but people who want to donate theirs and want to ctb should be given that option.
