What are you trying to accomplish? If you want to be institutionalized just going into a hospital and say you are going to kill yourself by lethal means and they will institutionalize you.

What are you trying to prove? And who are you trying to prove it to? Most people who get a message implying the sender wants to die, will do whatever they can to immediately rescue that person...

It's a joke to you, but I doubt anybody in your life will laugh at your passing...don't concern yourself with the opinions of those who want you to live.

If you want to die, do it without involving anybody who wants you to live.

Yes, I would (have have) taken things like that seriously in the past. I have a friend who has repeatedly made suicidal ideations to me and I have reached out to her mother (she's a full grown adult but they live in the same town; they live in a different state than me), to the police for welfare checks (if absolutely necessary - she has PTSD surrounding police for very good reasons), etc. She has always turned out relatively "fine" never done what she said she was going to do and I was PISSED at her for running me around like that and scaring the shit out of me when she really just wanted attention.

That's not my point. I was giving you an honest answer to your honest question - not to be redundant but HONESTLY. My friend (whom I have been friends with for over half my life) goes though periods of intense depression and tells me things like how she's going to be lying on x road waiting for a car to run her over and stuff and I ALWAYS take her seriously even when she's actually at home watching a movie (when her mom checks up on her). It hurts a LOT when she uses me that way just to "make sure someone actually cares" when she could simply ask "hey could I come visit for a few days? " or "hey, wanna chat? I need someone to talk to." That's a good way of asking for attention in a positive way too.

I never have talked to anyone about being suicide before or my plans.

I plan on doing it right before I kill myself, maybe just to update them on my situation. I won't be there to see their response.

I don't know what I want. Maybe It's because I feel like nobody cares. Maybe I want to be proven otherwise in my last moments. Why am I depressed? Why do I want to kill myself? I don't fucking know.

If you want to reach out to people and see if they care it might be an idea to message them (privately not a group or public post) saying that your struggling and not coping and thinking of suicide. There's nothing wrong with letting people know how you feel or asking for help.
A picture would probably be seen as attention seeking or may just scare people and get the police called right away.

If your just wanting a way to let them know your CTB without any response then leaving a note or a timed email is an idea.

Attention seeking isn't a terrible thing if your needing to seek help but there's right ways to do it.

I've accidentally alerted people in the past by liking a Ethunasia quote on Facebook or sharing a song that I really like that they interpreted as suicidal and people do respond to these things - I hadn't even realised that it would be read into so deeply. A photo of lethal equipment would be quite confrontational for a lot of people and I think that rather than checking in with you they may just call emergency. If you do want to go to hospital and feel you can't just front there you could call a crisis line for help as well.

I'm a person who likes to joke around. Even with death. Dark humour, if you'd call it. I'm sorry if I offended you, that wasn't my intention, but this is my situation too and this is my life. I joke around when I shouldn't be. When I'm nervous, I laugh. We deal with things differently. :/

Again, I apologise for offending you, but the people I'm around know of my sarcastic, joking personality despite how 'dark' it may seem.

You should NOT !!! If you are serious about wanting to die they will either lock you up or make you go to therapy.
