Help Should I put up a sign warning my parents of my dead body?

I see no problem with putting a warning on your door as long as your folks won't be able to see it before you fully CTB. They will be shocked either way. Comes with the territory.

Those are good points. I guess it's inevitable they will see my corpse. I don't know, maybe I should find a way to make a hotel room work.

At home or in a hotel room doesn't matter in terms of them seeing your corpse: they're very likely going to see it at the morgue, or at the mortuary.

The strongest reason I know of for ctb in a hotel room is so that your family won't see your corpse every time they walk into your room for the rest of the time they live in that house. I have no doubt that the flashbacks will be quite distressing, and I seriously doubt they will fade. Even if they somehow don't actually see your corpse while it's in the house, they'll imagine it there. It might be easier on them if they just know to avoid a certain hotel. But that's just my guess.

I don't. It's going to have to be in the house. But I'll put up a sign about dangerous gas or something as well as a dead body. It's all I can do. I don't really know anywhere around here where I could go to and have certainty that I won't be found in time.

As a parent I can guarantee, there is no way you could prevent them from finding your corpse.
And even with a note it will scar them forever. After that much time, you may be discoloured from the gas or even from livor mortis where the blood settles in the lower parts of the body. Most people evacuate too. There's bloating. Who knows.
A corpse is generally not pretty.
Even if your brother doesn't see it,the impact will affect him too.
Please do try to find somewhere and have you considered using a delayed email to alert the authorities? They are usually more accustomed to seeing such things.

I'm ctb tomorrow in my home via inert gas asphyxia. I'll basically use the exit bag, but with a full face snorkel mask instead. I'll have at least 2 hours to do it without anyone in the house. Should I maybe put a sign outside my door warning people there is a dead body in there? So that my parents don't find me?

I would consider waiting a little bit before you do this in the home you share with your parents. There is the very strong risk they could get hurt in some way and you seem justifiably concerned about that. I'm not sure you'd want to spend your last moments stressed any more than you have to. You can save up for a hotel room perhaps and set everything up to your liking.

The nice thing about ctb is that you have all the time in the world to do this and I just think it's better to do it right.

The people in the "heavens gate" we're very intelligent and had a community of great playfulness and humor it was the last laugh. They had a multi-million dollar business designing websites, some we're in the entertainment community, they may have understood things we do not, forming a "soul group" and exiting for a prescribed purpose with such an outlandish plot would have amused them.
