Help Should I call the police?

I still live with my family, and I'm planning to do partial hanging when they leave to go shopping or when they've left to go out, the only place I can do it in my house is right at the front where the entrance is. That means that when they come back home, my dead body hanging will be the first thing they see. I want to call the police about an hour after I hang myself so they'll find my body first and my family won't have to walk in and see me hanging. I can't exactly call the police when I'm dead, I was thinking of asking a friend to call the police for me an hour after I ctb, but I'm worried they'd call them earlier to try to 'save me'. I am also worried about where I leave my note, if the police do end up finding me first they'll confiscate my note for evidence. I was thinking of asking a friend to keep my notes for me, but again that comes with problems.

All I can say is if your goal is to be dead, I wouldn't call anyone. If you care enough about your loved ones finding you, I wouldn't do it in the family home. I doubt the impact of them finding you when they first walk in our of they find you any where else in the home will really matter in terms of trauma. They will still experience it so if that's a concern I wouldn't do it in the family home. I can't stand my family but I wouldn't ctb anywhere where they may be exposed to finding me. Tape a note to the front door warning them to call the police and not enter. They will still be traumatized, but at least they'll have some warning.

If you live in a house, you have unlimited choices to do it. Any stud or rafter will hold the average persons weight, even if you're 400lbs you'll be fine. Large lag bolt and a stud finder (or simply knocking) will provide you with a hanging structure where ever you have a wall.

Is there a way to send a delayed text or email to 911? Idk if you can schedule a text to them or not. Could research that.

Is this a thing the police are likely to do? Snatch someone's suicide note and never let the family see it? If so, I can't see the purpose in it.

I suppose you could stick your note in an envelope and drop it in a public mailbox, preferably at some distance from where you're sending it. That way it will probably make it into your family's hands after you have died, but before the police think to start grabbing their mail.

Is there any woods near you to do that at? I can tell you finding someone who has died by suicide increases trauma for people tremendously. They will never get that image out of their mind. Unless you want them to find you for revenge. If you care at all I'd find some place more secluded.

Try and do it at a local hotel, then cleaners will find you in the morning and call the police.

Please do not traumatise your family and do it in your parents home, this would be very unfair and would be better if a stranger found you and not your own family.

I have investigated it. They take the notes and letters as part of the investigation. Most of the times they never return it. I have seen family members of people who have cbt claiming they never got the letter back. So it is better to leave it somewhere where the family can reach it, away from the crime scene. Ctb is treated as homicide at the beginning so they will take everything that they consider important from the place in which it happened.
