Help Should I actually attempt or no

It's been 5 years off-and-on that I've been suicidal. I haven't been able to figure out why. It's always been a passive feeling (at worst I've had the intention to die but I've never officially attempted, I just cut myself when it gets bad). The person I love doesn't love me back. I think im too ugly to be loved by anybody. Should I actually attempt? I am considering making a geniune plan. Is it worth it for me?

I think a little more detail has to be added than that. How recent was this breakup? If it's recent then give it a bit more thought. Breakups feel super strong at first, but when they subside people fully recover.
