  • Hey Guest,

Today, OFCOM launched an official investigation into Sanctioned Suicide under the UK’s Online Safety Act. This has already made headlines across the UK.

This is a clear and unprecedented overreach by a foreign regulator against a U.S.-based platform. We reject this interference and will be defending the site’s existence and mission.

In addition to our public response, we are currently seeking legal representation to ensure the best possible defense in this matter. If you are a lawyer or know of one who may be able to assist, please contact us at [email protected].

So Iv cut on and off for 15 years but in the last few months when I cut I almost feel like I go into shock afterwards.

I tremble, feel light headed/dizzy, disconnected/derealization and just feel weird sometimes when I get like this if I see my blood on my hands I feel panic and have to wash my hands excessively.

I don't have issues with seeing my own blood normally.
I also don't usually cut very deep (I don't think)

Do any of you experience this kinda thing?
I guess since it's new to me I wonder is it normal

It's probably just the adrenaline rush. Since that's what I felt when i used to cut. Not to mention during those times I was very upset.

Many people find relief in different ways and with different methods. Feeling better is always a desirable goal. I admit I hate to see you scarred from the cutting.

I like my scars they are like a map of my past

It sounds like you are disassociating. That can happen fairly suddenly and your blood pressure drops (which would explain the dizziness).
Another explanation is that you are starting to have anxiety/panic attacks. They often start with dizziness (for me at least) and trembling/shaking hands. A bit like "shivering on the inside". Then it either goes away or it grows into a full blown panic attack.

Full blown panic attacks are disabling and significantly affect your life. If you can, try and stop this thing that you are experiencing now from getting worse. If you have a doctor/psychiatrist tell them about these episodes you are having. They may be able to prescribe something.

But I promise you: if it is the early start of anxiety/panic attacks, you DO NOT want these to get worse.

Thank you. I already experience anxiety/panic attacks and disassociation ranging from minor to major episodes, but this feels different maybe it's them mixed with the adrenaline that makes it feel different, I also haven't been eating probably so maybe blood pressures involved.

the same thing has started happening to me and it feels terrible and scary. i don't mind the adrenaline rush or feeling dizzy once in awhile but all the time? it makes it difficult to find relief in cutting when you know your going to feel like this.
