Venting Shelter manager possibly stealing money from me

Went this morning as usual to washy clothes just to discover there was no money in my locker. I'm certain I had money left. This is the second time it happens.

I've reported it to the shelter staff. Since only me and the manager have the keys to my locker, it's either the manager or someone pick locked my locker.

CCTV should reveal if it wasn't deleted.

Talked with the manager this morning. He basically said what he usually says that he can't help me. He'll talk to the abuser but that there's no other room in the shelter he could move me to and there's no other room of 2 people where he can move the abuser because the abuser presented 3 years ago a medical letter stating he has a medical condition.

Regarding the stolen money, he almost said I stole the money from myself (I thought only communists did that ). He'll check the CCTV but a period of 2 weeks to be checked is too much because for a single day he needs to look at the CCTV for 3 or 4 hours. In any case, we implemented a protocol where I'll check now much money I've left every day and report to him as soon as possible when money disappears so that he has a shorter timespan to check.

So much with the law and rule in the West.

Put the smallest bill you can get in your locker and take a picture of it.
Then you can prove to yourself it has disappeared.
Probably little recourse, sorry.

This really sucks and im sorry thus has happend ...ive been in shelterd accomadtion and you think your in a place off support and trust.. i had things stolen an old phone that had some family photos ive will never see again.. but you should make a fuss about it.. i know the fear of them asking you too leave so you just kinda go with it and that is just wrong .. speak your voice ..to make sure that it doesnt happen to you or anyone else in the future..

I decided to report it to the police. Hopefully they'll investigate the CCTV and won't complain it's too long of a timeframe to check. They didn't ask about the amount. I hope that they won't abandon the investigation when they learn that the amount is so small. It adds up over time and in the end, even €1 stolen is too much. It's my money after all and I live just above poverty line.
And, of course, my narcissistic bully s*x offender roommate lied about him using my brush to clean his stuff. He said the cleaner put my brush in his cup (such bs). The manager asked the cleaner (who no longer works at the shelter) whether he did that. Let's hope the cleaner doesn't lie, doesn't get asked to lie and/or that the manager won't lie. Anyways, I'm still planning to stop my treatment and have all my parts arrive for N2 transition. Can't win with these people and I don't think I'll be moved somewhere where I can live alone while I'm waiting for a home from the state while on disability.

Been updated by the shelter manager regarding my abusive roommate using my brush. He ignored the fact that the roommate lied when he told him what he thinks happened with my brush. Don't know why I'm even trying at this point.
