Hey

In Offtopic I created a similar thread where people shared songs that are not necessarily sad or depressing but are helpful with making peace with ctb.

https://sanctioned-suicide.net/threads/share-your-unconventional-ctb-songs.78932/

I've decided to make a Spotify playlist. It's not public but everyone who has a link can add it to their library.
If anyone wants a link, pm me or let me know in this thread.

Also, keep sharing your songs! I'll add these to the playlist too.

The song "Her Last Words" by Courtney Parker, really struck a chord in me when I first listened to this song a few years ago.
I still occasionally play it.

It's available on YouTube under age restriction. But it's not on Spotify, only instrumental version. I guess lyrics 'just stand on that chair and tie the rope around her neck' are too much for them

"Enter the mirror" by Les Rallizes Denudes, if i will have that choice it will be the last piece of music that i'll listen to. I'm not sure if it counts as unconventional but maybe it is because of the noise.

"Sleeping Awake" from P.O.D's "greatist hits" album. It was also used in the Matrix film. Not necessarily supposed to be sad, but always gave me that impression. I'd love a link to the playlist.

A little on the nose and definitely not what they intended when making this song but I find it quite comforting since what happens after death is one of the biggest unknowns of all time and this song seems adequate for encouraging anyone to jump right in. I also find the Panic at the Disco version especially powerful and motivating when it comes to helping me feel at peace about it.

Have fun with that, pro-lifers. Disney confirmed for encouraging suicide and they do a heck of a better job of it than some small website ever could. 😂

"Peace of mind" ~ Villain of the story

(It's a song about finding a path to freedom in life but I feel it is equally heavy hitting in the context of making peace with death)

"Sea, Swallow Me" by the Cocteau Twins. Just makes me feel at ease.

"Black Milk" soothes my nerves. I don't believe in any kind of God, but I like the lyrics as well:

You're not my eater. I'm not your food. Love you for God. Love you for the Mother. Eat me. In the space. Within my heart. Love you for God. Love you for the Mother. Mother fountain. Or live or not at all. The most level. Sunken chapel. Love you for God. Oh, I love you for the Mother. All's there to love. Only love.

Enola Gay by OMD. It's about the Hiroshima Bombing and has an upbeat melody, but it resonates with me & my dreams of death for some reason. It's definitely on my final playlist.
