Accidents unfortunately happens. But we are talking about the reliability of this method.

I'm able to hyperventilate until I pass out. It's happened to me during panic attacks. I don't think I'm special in that regard.

Where are these statistics coming from?

Whenever I read up on Shallow Water Blackout it's talked as being dangerous because it can happen to any swimmer (or in this case someone who WANTS it to happen)

I guess with every method theres always a chance of failure and also an issue if the person cant do it right.

Even hanging, charcoal, drug and everything still have that chance

but that doesnt mean the method isnt reliable right?

Not doing a method right isn't a 'failure' of the method its a failure of the person. Plenty of the methods are 100% guaranteed to cause death if they are followed correctly, and the proof is in the fact that many people have died from the methods.

If you survive a method its down to the fact you FAILED to follow the instructions correctly, Nothing at all to do with the method

I try hyperventilate, when about 3 minutes i feel very tired and breathless so i have to stop.
Is that normal to happen?

Its obviously a reliable method or there wouldn't be sites made to warn people of the dangers of it, how easy it is for it to occur. If the method is performed in the correct way it will result in death.

The problem is that there is not a single documented case of this happening with the intent of suicide. Moreover, this method is not covered in any book on this topic, as a reliable and doable way to commit suicide. Therefore, I think that this is rather just fantasizing about how it would be easy to die...
