anyone else who sh right after their previous sh marks are gone/not as visible because i like seeing those marks on my body and when they heal i wanna make more and more.
you can see in the image above i cut as soon as my previous scars (the scars above the new ones, you really gotta squint your eyes to see them) heal and even then my scars are very shallow and not deep enough, i wish to cut deeper but i'm scared to cut too deep and it sucks. i wish to hurt myself but i can't do it well. now the scars look like this-

barely visible i know. anyone has tips on how to get deeper cuts without feeing pain much, like honestly i like the pain yet i'm scared, dunno if that makes sense but yeh? yall can show your sh cuts in this thread if you'd like!

Please don't cut deeper. The deeper the cut is the more likely it is for it to get infected and for you to potentially end up with permanent bodily damage. Along with that, deeper cuts require significantly more aftercare. I understand wanting to cut deeper to feel valid or because you think that it'll be more satisfying but those feelings wear off quickly.

well i mean this is not deep at all, it's true i don't do any aftercare because i like seeing the blood flow out then i just wipe it off, i could easily get infected but i don't really care at this point

I get that. Also liked seeing blood flow too. I'm mostly just concerned because people start off wanting to cut only a little but deeper but over time it can lead towards them cutting so deep that it severe bodily damage, which is why I normally warn against it.

i understand what you mean. i always have an urge to cut deeper and deeper even though i know how bad it is for me.

with that said, i can't stop you from doing anything. i know you never asked for it, but id like to share some post sh tips i use.


-run the object you use to cut under some boiling hot water to disinfect it as much as you can, before and after you cut.
-let the blood flow until it dries. it's easier to clean up that way. if you can, elevate the body part (i like to sit in a chair and raise my legs on my bed)
-use clean washcloths obviously, or whatever you use to clean the blood. hydrogen peroxide can help if you get blood on the floor or anywhere around you
-neosporin and gauze pads!! keeping some extra lying around can be super helpful and tbh, feeling gauze pad bandages under my pants makes my sh feel more validated/deeper if that makes sense?
