Yes, especially if you're guy (it increases testosterone).
But I think it works as well if you're a woman.

Avoiding alcohol, pmo and drugs, improving your sleep, or asking your doctor about it (maybe you can take some stuff orally)
The rate of testosterone can be evaluated as well in the blood.

Feel this. I took venlafaxine for a while and it essentially removed my sex drive, sadly it hasn't really come back and I didn't take them for all that long. Might be side effect, might be circumstances, not sure.
I hope this doesn't impact you permanently.

I think it's the depression, probably when I'm on a high and that doesn't last long it comes back and the when I'm on a low again it's gone.

I think exercise and food will help but there obviously hard things when your depressed

but I have literally no real desire like I still find women attractive but I don't really have any sexual thoughts it's almost as if I bored of it, but they often say you loose interest in thing you use to enjoy when your depressed.

just talking about it like this has helped:smiling:

testosterone patches or injections. I suffer from low T. there are other ways 'naturally' but none will increase it anything like proper medicine.

getting diagnosed is a whole different ball game. the symptoms are similar to depression (most doctors will blame it on this, aswell). I personally think they come hand in hand. I will advise you if you do have i, you need to get tested for it. as simple as it may sound people don't realise how horrible it is. that includes doctors!

Viorxetine is one of the few anti depressants that don't take your manhood away. All the other did for me.

I did have a testosterone test before lockdown and apparently it was ok but I don't know what the value of the results were, I've never heard of patches, I did a little research and the only thing that came up was steroids.

although my testosterone might not be under the minimum I don't think a boost would be a bad thing as I'm on this forum and obviously in trouble.

the problem with it is their is a scale. so eg 1-10...meaning 5-10 ok and 1-4 not ok.

So in my opinion if your a 5,what makes it so different than a 4. I know in the UK they lowered the (already low) amount for what's acceptable.
but a certain level for a 25yr old is different than a 50yr old.also why not be at the top of the scale rather than the bottom!!!!

It totally depends on what doctor you get, their is no consistency. After a year i go to see someone, they actually said even if my results were at the low end of the scale, they would still allow me to start TRT.

I had to lie about stuff, it wasn't a total blag as in the end i have been diagnosed. but boy it was hard work.

And guess what now i can't be bothered with it, don't take and it made me totally depressed. I don't want to get better anymore!! so complete waste of time. I should of carried on self medicating and not tried to get looked at by the doctors. If we had chosen the private route (just to even get diagnosed, its more likely aswell) things might be a whole lot different!

One person said to me it could take 3 years for body to recover on its own,. they would of been happy for me to wait 3 year,im serious!!! I had to blag when i had last used steroids, you shouldn't have to do that.

I had read up on it all before i went to the doctors. people said this and that would happen, blame it on this and tat instead....EXACTLY what i had read. I think it easier US than UK.

I can tell you now it makes you feel great, I never had any anger issues. I was already like that and if anything it made alot calmer. which is mad!!!

Alot of the thing talked about steroids etc is BS, i know i was on them for years and i mean YEARS! i didn't try killing people, or fighting everyone.

they can give you patches, they are crap!! they give me them, because my body had apparently had no test or v little (still took 12 month to diagnose :S) and didnt want me to rage!!

I had been taking probably 5X times more than i was given from docs, and never had issues. i had done them for years 10+yrs

many "heathly" ways

personally, I go as far as to apply androgen cream since 1.5 month

other members are applying themselves shots in the buttocks with great results. It started for me based on the advice from someone here @dandan, although my condition was different than his. No regrets yet, no particular bad side effects felt

I actually think in the US its a big thing, certainly in body building communities. there are lots of celebraties you can tell or who have said they are on it.

Testosterone replacement therapy and also HGH. its rife among celebs, makes you look and feel younger and 10 times better. I can 100% guarantee it.

Theirs a massive stigma surrounding steroids. The doctor i was getting treated off wasn't mentioning it as a steroid, I mentioned it and he said yes i was correct but your body makes it (which i clearly knew). I think this was because of the stigma attached.

as for me, my testosterone levels are higher than normal, but we were able to prove that they're not converting into meaningful agents for my body to exploit anymore. The chain was interrupted along the way. That's another story, but still relevant. So there's quite some definition to explore about hormones, which can be intricated

Ah, thats interesting!!! on TRT they offered say 140mg a week to start. I was taking 1500mg + a week sometimes. so my levels would have been through the roof. I felt fine was 12% body fat and had no problems with blood pressure etc. everyone is different and thats part of what they don't get IMO when diagnosing it. Me and you could have the same levels ,but completely different symptoms!

Yeah, the endoctrinologist that followed me, a specialist, admitted there remains a lot of mystery and unknowns about hormonal conditions. I must not take the same treatment format as you, cause I don't recognise the figures (far off)
Anyway, there are many items to test for a complete diagnosis. I'll post them if I get by the document. Some are directly related to sexual activity. For instance, there is an enzyme that carries the testosterone onto the blood cells, contributing at the delivery across the body. If you have this part wrong, it doesn't matter if your testo levels are good enough, you're "fucked" nonetheless (pun intended)

well at least your endo realised that not all cases are the same. thats a good start!!

I think everyone should have their levels at optimum, rather than just about passable. i bet their would be a hell of a lot more happy people!!!!

I think you may be talking about the pituitary gland?

So I just got a message from the Doctor saying your test results were fine, do you think if I asked he would have some exact figures?

precisely, I was talking of the "TEBG - sex binding protein SHBG". Sorry, it was not an enzyme (where is my mind). You shouldn't have this parameter too high

I'm sure you could get a copy of your results. now whether you understand them is another kettle of fish! If you're results were in-between to figures they WILL say your fine. But as a doctor said to me, if they are low and you have a lot of other symptoms you may need treatment.

If you are below 50 maybe even higher, they fukin brush you off. They will not want to give it you at all. If you could get a private person to look at your results and they are low end, they will be a whole lot more sympathetic. I really wish i had gone this route, i'm pretty sure i wouldn't be feeling how i am!

Hi DBD sorry to hear that. Hope it doesn't affect you permanently. I'm on gabapentin for pain and mine seems off too. There's overlapping stressors so it's hard to pinpoint what's causing it.

In my country, several pharmacies sell it to me OTC despite the fact it requires prescription, like many other meds. But historically speaking, it has been a population of smugglers :)

you would have to try a private company, they know alot more about it than your NHS(if you were UK) workers. because they just specialise in that subject. whereas an NHS endocrinologist will be looking at people with other conditions aswell.

Its not illegal to own steroids, its illegal to sell them
