How can you debunk this video? Is afterlife real?

Most likely explanation is that the dog stepped on a talking doll's button and it let out the laugh as one of its pre-recorded lines. The floor there is a mess, it'd make sense for something like that to be buried under a bunch of stuff.

I've been researching evidence for the persistence of the soul after death for years. The evidence is pretty overwhelming.

I don't want to sound condescending or anything, but why this video in particular? What about it is so compelling to you? It could be a number of things. It'd be just as hard to verify as it would be to debunk. It's a video on the internet, after all. The fact that it isn't a "paranormal" channel and that people are credulous in the comments is meaningless. Even on a non-paranormal channel, people interested in the paranormal (and thus more likely to take it at face value) are exactly the kind of people I'd expect to flock to such a video.

I'm not saying it is or isn't an example of the paranormal; I'm just saying there are plenty of videos like this, and so I don't find it very compelling personally.

If you're talking about the 28 second mark, it's the K9 handler saying 'it might', which at 0.25 speed distorts to sound like she's saying 'Mommy'.

Sure, they aren't pushing a narrative, but the video was uploaded to an author's yt channel, and they have an incentive to get views to get their name out there and sell books. The video also ends abruptly. Who knows what happened after the video cuts; maybe the investigators found a plausible explanation, like how multiple comments posit that it could have been a toy. The fact of the matter is, there was a lot more to this recording, and the uploader chose to upload this clip and nothing else from it.

At the end of the day, I think you can find strong evidence for either possibility. Whatever idea brings you more comfort, I'd say focus on that. Only the dead know the truth. I hope you find your peace, friend, and thanks for sharing the video. I love pondering stuff like this.

I find it weird that you would have to listen at the absolute slowest speed possible in order to hear it. It often seems like people who talk about paranormal activity usually require filters or altering of the video or audio to find their answers. Seems a bit unreasonable to me if you have to change the audio to clearly hear it. Speech can sound very different, very fast or slow speeds.
