Seeing qe2 funeral today made me realise how fragile life is!.

The street's empty, shops shut, but in death, our identity is gone. So many people in tears, becuase in some ways its a reminder that death is never far away for anyone.

i wish there was a god in the way religion has faith but i would he a hypocrite becuase in the end we go back to nature.

Still, a very sombre day in the UK

Wishing you peace❤

The good Queens death shows, us all that death is an equal opportunity killer. Wealth, power and position save no one from deaths touch.

I watched it too. I do believe in eternal life, although not religious. It was a lovely service. x

I did not watch the funeral. But I went to the street to do the emergency shopping. Hard to find a local supermarket open.

Our only true purpose as humans is to die after all, it's our inevitable fate. Everything else in life is just a meaningless distraction from the fact that we will return to non existence, death is just like how before we were born where time passed and yet we were not aware of anything. I don't see death as being sad at all, as it solves all problems and prevents any future suffering. Sadness is an emotion for the living, not the dead. Death is the end to all sadness.

Those were some deep words I wish more things were like that. Like cold diseases also touched more people and they could see what life is like for others. It's nothing less than death itself.

The queen death with a sorbering reminder that all the money, power, status, assets, etc. Can not prevent you from death.

To tell you the truth I thought they was gonna use some cutting edge technology to keep her alive like they did with mr house in fallout new Vegas. But I guess not

I just hope that I won't live as long as she did ... She seemed to enjoy it though. Good life. Good death. I hope we'll at least have a good death.

The woman had a good life. She lived well into her 90s and was obscenely well-off, wanting for nothing. She had the best of everything, including health care. She had a lot to live for. That's not true for many of us. i think comparing her life (and death) to the average person is like comparing apples and oranges, more like pristine, grade AAA apples, and rotten oranges.

There are a lot of missteps to be made amidst fame and fortune and she made very few. It's not easy to live up to reputation into one's 90s and having the best of everything doesn't make it any easier. I don't think her successor is going to enjoy the respect she did despite having all the same trappings.

Totally agree. She was exceptional, an impossible act to follow. It's likely the monarchy will seem less and less relevant from now on. Perhaps it can reinvent itself on a much more modest scale.

This 70 Year Elizabethan age is gone. She leaves just a legacy of service which surely must have been exhausting, day after day. I was struck by her death becuase i realised how inevitable death is for everyone. In the end, Elizabeth was shoved into the ground. Her symbols of power stripped in 5 minutes at Windsor chapel. What is the point of life!

Seems like many people find comfort in the thought of the legacy they leave to others. Arguably she achieved a form of immortality and is now a part of history. Her name won't be forgotten. I personally could care less about being remembered. It's meaningless once we move on from this earthly plane (or go back to nothingness as the case may be).

I prefer to think that dying is like waking up after a long sleep, slightly disoriented and wondering what time it is. Feels like we slept for 70 years, turns out only 20 minutes and 'what was all that about?' Who cares it's over, let's party!

None of my comments were meant in any disparaging way. As a US citizen, I have nothing against the woman. She seemed like a very nice lady. She lived a very, very charmed life, much better than any commoner. I think having the best of everything, and the ability to quash or sweep under the rug most scandals, certainly is an advantage that most do not have. I say give Charles a chance and see if he can modernize some things. A new perspective may be refreshing.
