Many of the posts I read here talk about not CTB in a way that will leave other people scarred. I understand this, but I also have a different thought on it which is linked to a separate issue. Everyone always talks about bodily autonomy with things of a medical nature, but suicide is still stigmatized and made as difficult as possible. We aren't represented, we aren't heard. I feel like there needs to be a movement of some kind where people who feel like this unite to start being taken seriously, to fight for our rights to end our lives in the safest (ironic, I know) way possible, and to have access to these safer methods. There are many things today that have been legalized due to pressure from groups who believed in what they fought for. There's so many people here who have to go on every day, against their will, and with no reliable method to CTB. Back to my original point that ties this together. I'm not saying this is the answer, it's debatable, but if more people were forced to face the violent methods of suicide people have to choose from, maybe the world will stand up and listen. We want to protect strangers, but this community is in dire need of a voice. I dunno, just thinking with my fingers.
