No, I'm not worried about what's beyond this. But if I'm just being honest, as I check off my last few days on the calendar I have had disturbing and vivid dreams, of hell.

I personally only fear this life. Existence is horrifying to me as there is no limit as to how much we can suffer and how much pain we can feel. I believe that when we die, we cease to exist and that is the end of everything for us. I look forward to non existence and I believe it to be like how before we were born, where time passed and yet we were not aware of anything. I could never fear death at all. I believe that death is true peace where nothing can ever hurt us.

Yes.
But guess that when you hit rock bottom and you know that objectively can't change your life for the better, then it's less scary what's on the other side.

I think it's most likely the same way as when you sleep really deep. No sensations and no memories. When you sleep, you don't really care if you wouldn't wake up.

No, much deeper than sleep, its like being under Anasthesia most likely--3 hour operation to take out my gallbladder, felt like 3 seconds, woke up with three big bruises on my stomach--remembered zero those three hours--When I sleep, intense dreams each time, but death will be like a click! you're gone--and that's ok with me

Actually you don't dream all the time, but sure it's way deeper. No alarm clock will wake you up.

My point is that conciseness is on or off. Operation, hitting your head or very deep sleep. The feeling of being dead is probably very similar to what happens to us every night, but sure, way deeper.

In this way it's not as scary, but maybe I'm very wrong, but I would recommend to read what people who almost died on this forum write, or your own story from your operation.

Sometimes but honestly I'm more concerned about the dying process and whether or not there will be pain.

When I was in middle school I was actually excited at the thought of the afterlife if i should ctb. But that was probably because I thought the afterlife was gonna be like some sort of anime with me as the main. I was a really bored and lonely kid.:pfff:

the only thing i'm scared about is Reincarnation, this absolutely terrifies me, i don't fear hell because one : i'm already in it, and second, my hell would be reincarnation, nothing is as painful as living for me. I'm in so much pain, i'm willing to take the risk, the opotential outcome outweights the potential risks for me. Good luck with your decision !

As long as it isn't nothingness, I want something.
I'm not terrified of what's next we have no choice but to meet it one day so i'm just thinking of it as a chore it probably won't be that bad in the moment.

reincarnation sounds hellish AF to me. kind of like playing a randomizer and ending up somewhere much worse than where you are now, some backwater dictatorship or something

I believe that our consciousness either goes to other realms or we just cease to exist. I am okay with either. But the truth is none of us really know what happens when the lights go out. Sure, we can believe and speculate all we want but we can't know for certain until we are dead.

No. I think, I don' t worry. I think there is no other side. There is only a peaceful nothing, when I died.

People need to be aware of the possibility of entities on the other side that will trick them into reincarnating.

It will be just like going to bed each night, except this time you won't wake up. You just cease to exist and there is nothing after death.

I have felt the same way before. I usually have a mix of feelings regarding this decision. Sometimes I feel peace like there won't be nothing to fear. While in other moments I feel uncertain and scared of my decision. These feelings are valid and it is to be expected to have doubts and fears about this important matters. I try to help myself by reading about death and by knowing the steps that follow biologically when we pass away. The more knowledgeable we become, the less scary it will be. However, there will always be some uncertainty and we must learn how to cope and accept it.

If anyone tells you that they know for sure what happens. don't listen to them. None of us really know for sure and the only ones that do know are far out of reach and we can't exactly just ring them up and ask them how it's going on the other side.
With that said, I personally believe that the afterlife is a vast, vast, incomprehensibly vast place and that there's no single afterlife that everyone goes to after their death. I think that your afterlife will be heavily tailored to what your beliefs are as well as what kind of life you lived. Whether this be reincarnation, a blissful place of peace and healing, or just exploring the universe and infinite cosmos, everyone will go somewhere that fits with their desires and how they lived their life. For me, I have a feeling that I'll probably just live another life in a world similar to ours but with some adjustments, some good and some bad. Maybe it's just wishful thinking, but I think that my death will only be the beginning and that my true life will began somewhere on the other side after this body stops functioning and my life here ends. I don't think I'll find peace though, at least not after much more suffering and learning.
That's just for me though, everyone has their own personal beliefs about where they'll go after death and i'm sure that if there's another life after this one, most will get the peace and happiness that they were never able to get in this life. I just don't think that i'm one of those.
One thing that disgusts me about a large chunk of the kind of people that discuss the afterlife, NDE's, etc is the stigma they have towards the suicidal. They always say something along the lines of, "you'll just have to reincarnate again to learn the same lessons you were supposed to learn in this life if you kill yourself", as if that makes any kind of logical sense. What kind of universe with any semblance of mercy and caring would put a soul into a world as cruel as this one, have it suffer and suffer to the point of wanting to die, wait for it to kill itself, then put it into through the same life for more rounds of punishment, as if the outcome will be any different. No, I believe that if there is anything waiting for us after the lights go out on this side, those who commit suicide will be met with love and caring and given the healing they need if they want it and choose to accept it. Anyways, rambling over. Those are my thoughts about what'll happen on the other side but take this with a truckload of salt. I'm just one person and the things I said are pretty heavily influenced by my own personal biases and beliefs.
