• Hey Guest,

Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

If you value the community and would like to help support its continued operation, donations are greatly appreciated. If you wish to donate via Bank Transfer or other options, please open a ticket.

I'm not entirely sure if I've used the correct prefix for this query, so I apologise if I haven't. I find myself increasingly paranoid about the possibility of the police in my country accessing my personal information, leading to my hospitalisation, despite my efforts to implement security measures. I must admit, I don't have a deep understanding of technology, but I wonder if anyone could shed some light on whether such a scenario could indeed occur, even when employing tracking prevention tools like a VPN.

I appreciate any responses ❤️

I'm no expert myself but I think the chance of anything happening is pretty much zero. I've never heard of anyone been sent to a ward because they spoke about their mental struggles online unless they had expressed homicidal thoughts or someone they know IRL called a wellness check on them. If you just talk about suicidal feelings and follow standard internet safety practices you'll be fine.

Hi! I have been hospitalized only once before, when I was intentionally very honest with a school counselor to see what resources I could access. The chances of what you described happening are basically zero, especially using a VPN.

I was hospitalised several times before, and while it's not great, it's not that awful either. But I seriously doubt the police would just randomly come to your house for this. They don't have the time to be looking at the information and online activity of some random person just for no reason. Realistically what you're describing won't happen. Ever.

I've been looking at suicide related things online for at least 10 years and nothing ever happened because of it, just don't use the same pic and name here as on your other accounts and you should be fine

Looking here probably won't get noticed by anyone. In my opinion it is quite hard to get hospitalized (at least where I live)

You think the police care enough to dig on here so that they can put you in a hospital? The possibility of that happening is very much low, and they only care when it's involving drugs or other illicit activities. Using a VPN will make it 10x times harder to track you. There's still a way, but that's a case for the FBI or some higher authority similar to the FBI. Now give it a thought do you think the FBI would seriously spend all of their resources just to put you in a hospital? No, so you're fine even without a VPN. Just don't give out info about yourself.

Thank you very much for the responses. I was afraid of this because in my country there have been cases of assisted suicide, and the first of them was through forums on the internet, so I feared this.
