My funny answer is : "Hi, this is the developers of a simulation called Earth, and we have just ran out of money, so we have to shut it down now. Sorry for the inconviencr."
The serious answer is : "Everyone should have the right to die, humans have the right to put their own pets to eternal sleep if they deem that the animal is going through too much suffering. Yet they cannot put themselves down, why is that? Just as you shouldn't have the right to take someone's life, you shouldn't have the right to prevent someone's voluntary death. Think about it, is there a suituation you would rather die than be in? If the answer is yes, why should you deny people the right to die? Everyone has different breaking points and some people don't even believe they should be alive in the first place and we should respect their beliefs just like how we respect other religions. Suicide will always be something that happens regardless of the law, just like abortions. The difference is, there will be much less people jumping in front a train or a subway, causing a delay. The body will be presentable instead of having the head blown open with a gun. There will be less negative stigma around suicide and people will talk about it more openly when the consequences isn't a cell in a psych ward. But all that won't happen, because life is most valuable thing in the world and the politicians want their taxes."
