The traditional game of Russian Roulette uses a revolver,right? The problem is that if you shoot yourself in the head with that,it may not be enough to ensure death and you end up a vegetable when some unwanted samaritan comes to save you.

Sorry,not trying to be a party pooper here,but you may want to use a modified version of this game. Maybe having a shotgun to shoot yourself in the head and just rolling a dice to determine whether you pull the trigger or not. though I imagine this may lack the symbolism of the traditional method.

Honestly,I don't know much about the history of this game. I can't really say. maybe the real issue is setting up the circumstances so no unexpected samaritan will come in to ruin your plans.
