Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

Hey all, I hope you're all well.

How do you feel about your current situation?

Do you think your life will change? If you are able just to take whatever money you have available? Sell your wealthy possessions and just vanish to another country?

Be the new guy or gal and just blend in and live out the rest of your life ?

I mean years ago you could vanish in Thailand or Cambodia or Vietnam quite easily and live there for the rest of your life but I feel that those days are gone and finished

countries want Visa , work permit , you can't get medical insurance or health insurance and you need to have for medical in case something happens or goes wrong with yourself.

The romanticised idea of just upping and vanishing and deleting all traces of past life away and just resetting your brain starting again. It feels and seems like a magical process or is it just fantasy?

I will turn 70 this Thursday, the 12th of March and all my life I have always thought about moving here or there, BUT it always comes back to health, dental and other insurances.

It is one aspect to be rich and having to not think about the daily burden, BUT I am not and this has always stopped me.

Now turn 70 in a few days and going to semi-retire, I am thinking of moving to a warmer climate, BUT it comes back to health and dental for me.

Just one of the medicines that I take costs $800 (USD) per month and my insurance picks up a lot of the cost, I pay around $180 (USD), so I have to be very careful where I want to move and make sure that my insurance stays the same.

I used to have a fantasy like that. Leaving everything behind and starting over somewhere else. For me it was San Francisco.

I actually saved up my own money to go visit my (then) girlfriend (now ex) there a few years ago. It was one of the most beautiful places I've ever seen, and the people I met were incredibly kind. For a while it really felt like the kind of place you could disappear into and start fresh.

After a while, I realised that I would still be bringing my distrust, my anxiety, my overthinking, and my isolationist tendencies with me. Being completely alone in a different city can't fix what's wrong on the inside.

That dream eventually died along with the rest of my hope.
