rope too long

i had some free time today and tried to tie a rope and practice for when i get a proper day to hang myself but im realising my rope is extremely long for this. last week i tried tying it normally and my noose was lying on the floor from my anchor point. i tried making a more scuffed setup but even that was too short and i didnt have enough time to try making it shorter with more knots. i really dont want to have to buy another rope so is there any setup that lets me make the rope shorter without any compromise?

for context my anchor point is a pull up bar on the top of my room, and i cant do anything over the door since my height is basically the same As the door. if any extra details are necessary i can share !!

I had this exact problem. My rope is like fifty feet long but I only need about ten feet for a proper over-the-door FSH set-up. I'm not sure how to properly explain it, but it's very possible to tie your knots (anchor and noose knot) towards the middle of the rope. All that extra, unnecessary rope shouldn't get in your way if you do it right.

After you've figured out how long you need your rope, why not cut the excess?

As LakeMungoGirl wrote, just use the middle of the rope to tie it to your anchor. You can use one end of the rope for your noose and then see how much rope you need to get to the anchor and attach it there.
