On this thread I'll be posting updates and pictures of my road trip. I'll be exploring all over the Western US.

My first stop will most likely be Amarillo, Tx
Here's a picture of the vehicle, hopefully it'll survive being a lowered truck but only one way to find out! I'll also have three passengers my teddy bear and his friend sushi roll and appa flying from the mirror.

The vehicle I'm taking the trip in.

It's the little brother to the Silverado, the Colorado
Yeah it's got a 3/4 drop with no notch in the rear
Thank you ❤️
Quick little stop in Paris, tx.

Story time related to this stop

I lived here a few years ago. This motel I lived at was very creepy because I had a stalker. This girl would've been in about high school and any time I would go to the store or just step outside to talk a call she was watching me. One time she even just stood and stared into my room. Glad that's over lol

ah, enjoy! any exciting places lined up to see?

i myself am a fan of weird, abandoned places. i know bedrock city (an old flintstones amusement park turned conservation park) is an interesting one if you plan on traveling to arizona!

That sounds super interesting! I'll definitely check it out!
There's a bunch of places lined up to see, all being nature spots but I'm open to any recommendations of lesser known spots.

Got almost 400 miles before my first fuel stop. Been a pretty boring drive so far with nothing but empty roads mainly. I did see some anchorage police cars on their way to get delivered! Many more miles to go.

Your trip sounds like so much fun! Please keep us posted so that we can live vicariously through you😁

If you do make it to Arizona, especially if you end up going to Bedrock as Adrestia suggested, take the 89A South from Flagstaff and drive down Oak Creek Canyon to Sedona. It's a beautiful area and that trip down the canyon is lovely and winding; Sedona is beautiful. There is a lot to see and do there, lots of food, and the scenery is gorgeous. The whole area - Sedona, Cottonwood, Jerome, Camp Verde - is quite outdoors/nature oriented and the weather is probably still pretty mild, but not 100% sure what the snow looks like in AZ these days. It's worth the trip to see Sedona anyway, even if you skip the canyon.

Also, speaking of Bedrock, I think there is a place around that immediate area does falconry. If you are looking for unique… well, that's pretty damn unique. Not sure what schedules and pricing look like there but I'm sure google has answers.

Drive carefully!

The Sedona area is definitely on the list! I've heard so much good things about it and I always wanted to see the blue McDonald's yknow for the culture

i was in sedona visiting my uncle last april, great place. far more visually interesting than my local forest....forest....more forest...locale. hilarious people too, met a guy who said if you knock on a brick and it sounds hollow there's an alien egg inside.

After 14 hours of driving I'm defeated for the day but here's some pictures I managed to get. I wish I could describe the beauty of watching the sun setting along the mountains.

Tomorrow I'll set up my dash cam wired up for better updates!

SO COOL! sorry for the all caps, I am just so psyched for your trip and I wanted to see it in a way even if the road was boring! wanted to ask you to post pics of the road but you read my mind already! I like the middle part, the one that looks like dusk or at least early dawn with the headlights on.

I saw your truck from one of the pics! :pfff:
I had heard that the mcdonalds in that area was unique, i just forgot specifically what was so unique about it..something to do with the architecture?
Honestly, couple of thoughts while looking at the pics:
1 Wow! so cool!
2 Weathers kinda gloomy
3 Gives off resident evil vibes due to the weather
4 If I was an alien and I was visiting the earth and I wanted to go some place with just enough people, that place would be it
5 true crime documentaries (river bed pics, mostly because of the weather)
:pfff::pfff::pfff:
Good job!!!

I'm glad you noticed! I put the picture of my truck just for that reason.
The only unique thing about it is being decorated with blue instead of yellow, still cool though!
Honestly the cloudy weather made it so much better!
Another day finished

Without opening the pics and zooming in, i thought.
1st pic was something out of the Flintstones.
2nd pic was a life sized Smurfs house.
3rd pic of the dash I can almost hear Country Roadddsss...Take Me Homee...to the placeeeeee...i belllloooonnggggg as the background music. heck if I was there i'd probably be hollering that song.
4th pic I was thinking..I think i saw that in Men In Black..
5th pic I thought: is that where they did the scene either in Fast and the Furious, Triple X or Blue Crush?
Happy Trails!

Last nights view of the Vegas suburbs and some mountains/sunset, was a lazy day with mostly driving at the end so not a lot of pics. It was still very pretty though.

Wow. it's amazing how the light (either absence or presence of it) can really affect how the scenery looks and the message it conveys.
safe driving!

Sat by the river to start the day off then a drive through some beautiful Cali mountains. LA was stressful but it was worth the experience ❤️

Great pictures tomorrow
Don't know where the adventure goes from here, I suppose the road will lead us the right way.

dudeeee!

I find sunsets/sunrises amazing. Like if you just based it on the pictures, you couldnt tell if it was a sunrise, or a sunset.
The last one..looks like something i could select out of the default wall paper screen from windows.
