An inquest has heard that Ricky Hatton was found hanging and "unresponsive" by his manager.

He took his life between 12th and 14th of September.

A family man with wealth unimaginable to most of us; it just proves that the darkness that brings us here can affect anyone from any walk of life. No amount of money could have saved Ricky, a man who had openly discussed his mental health issues.

We all value the sanctity of anonymity here but I can't help but wonder if he was ever a member here.

It actually puzzles me when wealthier people go via hanging. I would have thought they could afford more painless methods. It does tend to make me wonder how planned an attempt was. Of course, it still can be but, I just wonder really.

Interesting point. Maybe this is the most painless. Worldwide this seems the most common way out. I have attempts and think about it daily. Still, it certainly doesn't seem painless. Seems brutal.

I'd never considered hanging until recently, when I went down a rabbit hole here watching videos.

I was amazed how quickly people lose consciousness if done correctly. Actually started me thinking about it more as a viable method.
