Over the past year, increased regulatory pressure in multiple regions like UK OFCOM and Australia's eSafety has led to higher operational costs, including infrastructure, security, and the need to work with more specialized service providers to keep the site online and stable.

Im dont know much about this, but with those requisites it looks like you already decided the outcome of the study, which would be that social media make people depressed, or something in that direction.

I have a feeling that it is part of the hypothesis.. and the survey is to try and see how correlated they may be, hopefully there isn't bias in the survey, but I didn't answer the state question or sections after so idk.

I took it and just didn't put my email in, I didn't have any problem on my end, it seemed to go through? I appreciate any and all research being done that could potentially save even one person from coming to a point in their life where they end up here if there's any additional voluntary anonymous research that I can participate in while I'm here, i would love to know

Hi! Thank you for taking the time to complete the survey. If any additional anonymous research opportunities arise that align with this work, I'll be sure to share them with you (of course, after the moderator has approved them). Thank you again for your openness and heart in all of this. I am genuinely grateful to have earned some of SaSu's trust. I do not take that lightly.

Hi! No worries. Just to clarify, the purpose of the study isn't to prove that social media causes depression or suicidal thoughts, but rather to better understand the experiences of people who are already engaging with suicide-related content online. Ultimately, the goal is to approach this topic with curiosity and care, rather than assumption. :)
I understand there are members who have suspicions about this but imho being hostile toward the person who is permitted by mods is not polite or constructive.
modern society is full of unrealistic prolife narratives such as "suicide is always preventable" or "hotlines solve it" and we obviously have no say about our right to choose. To debunk societal misunderstandings about suicide I think it is needed that researches and studies elucidate what suicidal ideation is. I want OP to notice that these "myths" are really true or not through your research. I'm not in the US and cannot contribute to it, anyway good luck!

Hi! I'm still in the process of collecting data and waiting for additional responses. I anticipate having my findings ready by March 2026 (if not earlier). :)
