Religious Trama correlating to being suicidal

How many of you grew up in religious households? I feel like there may be a significant correlation of strong religious upbringings and ending up suicidal. It would make sense to me bc most religions are very strict, judgmental/ shameful, and trauma inducing at a very young age. In a lot of cases I would classify it as brainwashing depending on the religion and severity of parents beliefs in it. I was raised Christian and I definitely believe that it was a form of brainwashing due to how intense my family's beliefs were and our extreme involvement with the church. Curious if anyone else can relate with their religious upbringing (with any religion not just Christian)

It's the "I am not valuable" message that sticks.

It is a real mind fuck.
