I think society doesnt like abuse vicitms

Society doesnt like abuse victims who are honest abbot their struggles. Who are not "recovereD" and "over" it yet

Makes me wonder, what is the point of getting better and whole if it means you lose people?

People dont like people who are "too" damaged

They get irritated by your not getting over your issues and want nothing to do with you

It feels isolating

Most people are extremely uncompassionate when dealing with people like us.
My toxic family and so-called friends used to say really nasty things to me in the past.
They basically said that I was " weak " because I suffer from bipolar 1 and clinical depression.
In other words the illnesses were my fault.
I no longer bother with people and keep myself alone .
I also do not want to get better.
I just want to die now.

So sorry you are going through this.

I can really relate to this. Society doesn't want to deal with anything that's not easy for them or weird to them, or anything they don't understand. It's not convenient. People look for what's easy. My coming from a very abusive household left me not knowing how to relate with people. When I put myself out there, TRYING to relate as best I can, and fumble and fall down in the process, people walk away instead of trying to understand. They'd rather go with their knee-jerk reactions and judgments than see beyond their own feelings and open themselves to different possible interpretations of me. I've learned to just keep my mouth shut. I'm tired of being shunned and ostracized and being seen as a weirdo.

society hates baggage. it's uplifting and powerful if you're healed, but if you're still hurting than you're seen as weak

it's so difficult too because it just makes you feel worse, the bad things that happened to me didnt do anything for me, I am not stronger or walking away with newfound purpose, I don't even appreciate other things more. It is simply that bad things happened.

this is a realistic response. Sometimes life is just continuing to keep moving. You dont feel better or get some magical "aha" moment where everything is starting to look up. Some people just keep on keeping on. And sometimes, as suicide is hard to commit, thats what we do

thats why its best to confide in people you feel you can trust. And sometimes you can only keep certain things to yourself

society does not like many topics and they have to pretend that they do not exist, because that frees them from responsibility, suicide is a clear example
The point of recovering is for oneself, never for others, if some turn away from you, see it as a blessing, have you seen who they really were, what do you gain from being with people who turn away from you in difficulty?
loneliness is a blessing, the fear of loneliness generates all kinds of problems, be cautious
greetings, be well

Yes, the saying that whatever doesn't kill you makes you stronger is nonsense. I'm broken inside and always will be.

Just wanted to say that I am very happy for y'all for having chosen recovery and healing. As lonely and isolating as it can get, it still is worth it. You still are, and always will be worth it.

Proud of y'all.

but what's the point if you're lonely? And you have little to know friends who ever understand or relate to you? It feels like if you choose not to nose dive into healing you have more fun
