I had this idea as well but I am a player trapped and forced to play this game and everyone else is an npc. I will say this game is terribly designed and unbalanced. Why do I have to deal with going through this torturous repetitive plot and game mechanics that waste my time and pad the game out as well as characters arcs and difficulty spikes that exist to just cause me more pain and make it more unfun?

Maybe entertaining to the game developer wanting to make their player as miserable as possible but not to me. I am giving this game a 1/10.

It's the other way around. Video game characters are just like us - at least to an extent.
Developers live in the real world, and usually base their games on it. Similarities are to be expected.

only with stuff like clothes and other things, only way to change your body is to use microtransactions, grind for money or get lucky

The video game analogy works to an extent but it fails in some areas as at least you could choose to stop playing a video game (unless if you're extremely addicted to it) but we don't have the option to easily escape life if we want to escape life. Also, video games tend to have main characters in them but, realistically speaking, none of us can be considered as the main character if we're looking at existence itself as a video game due to how the game is designed. We can only consider the game itself (i.e. all of sentient life) and, honestly, it's horrific. We've been designed to be tortured brutally
