this seems to be the most popular method on here but id like to know why. after some research, i found that its mechanism of death is methemoglobinemia. after even more research, i found that this mechanism doesnt sound pleasant whatsoever. as someone with emetophobia, i especially hate being nauseous, its the worst sensation in my opinion — worse than pain. even with that aside, it also seems to cause panic despite the lack of a hypercapnic alarm response (correct me if im wrong). the rapid heart rate seems like it might stress me out too. people take zofran for the nausea but as someone who went through zoloft withdrawal, zofran barely helped and i cant imagine zofran withdrawal is worse than sodium nitrate overdose. anyway, can someone please explain why this is such a popular method as opposed to opioid overdose (seems more pleasant)?
