I have received my N in the mail and plan on taking it next Thursday when I check into a hotel.

I will start an antiemetic regimen 2 days before I take N.

I plan on taking N midday (3pm) on an empty stomach. Is this not advisable? What I mean is that my last meal will be dinner from the night before, probably 8 or 9 pm. That's something like 18 hours of an empty stomach. Is the chance higher that I will throw up because of this? Should I have a meal in the morning, 6 hours before I plan on taking the N instead?

Also, I know following the N with a glass of wine or liquor is advisable, and I plan on doing that. BUT is it OK to drink wine beforehand? I know I will want to steady my nerves and have 2 or 3 glasses of wine beforehand. Is this a bad idea?

Sorry if these are stupid questions, I know many people on this forum are very knowledgeable about N in general so was hoping for some advice.

Thank you! :)

If you dont want an empty stomach eat something light a few hours before, as for the alcohol I don't think its a problem if you drink a little before to give yourself courage
just my two cents

Another question, are antacids necessary to take N?

So I've been reading the PPH for the past 2 hours. Apparently it suggests you SHOULD eat something light an hour before ingesting N. If your stomach is empty, the chance of reflex vomiting after drinking N is greater. PPH suggests, "This should not be a significant meal that will slow the absorption of the drug. Something light is preferable, like tea or toast, an hour or so before taking the drug".

Not stupid questions but very reasonable ones.

I would not recommend doing this on a totally empty stomach. You can have a light snack 1-2 hours prior but avoid a large meal. You having your last dinner the night prior is a very good call.

The pph says to avoid alcohol before taking N but I suspect it's because too much liquid might compete with N and make you puke. It's a tough call but since you are taking antiemetics 2 days prior up until your N dose, it makes me think the risk is lower since the antiemetic will be built up in your system by then. You will have to use your judgement with this. PM me if you'd like another methods resources for N.

In regard to the risk of throwing up because of liquid volume, I think one can also get used to it in a fairly reasonable time.

I think you can try with water, swallowing a little more at once now and then and getting your stomach used to a certain volume.

I personally having done sports for most of my life, I am used to drink large quantities of water to reintegrate. I was surprised when people told me they couldn't drink 2 litres of water in a day (when I can drink them easily at once) but thinking about it I believe it's a matter of getting used to a certain volume in your stomach.

I think also this can help to get N down fast enough, which I want to do to be sure to get it all.

I like to know more about this subject too. I had seen Dignitas supplying chocolate right after N. Why is that?
So, what is the correct procedure for anti emetics?

Because the taste is utter dog shit from what ive seen on youtube when people drink it.

Id avoid alcohol but not everyone might feel the same on that one.

If that's the issue, then it's not a problem for me either. I drink minimum 2 gallons of water a day lol. I need to read more on this though because I don't want to risk throwing up. I may just err on the side of caution and not drink any wine before.

I understand that the two bottles will be like a glass of water (equivalence)

Youve got one of the best liquids to die with, why would you need alcohol.

Id be doing the moonwalk everyday if i had N to take.

Just knowing it was there and going peacefully. WOW.

Instead I have to take the poor mans version of N :haha:

Guess Ive just watched a few too many videos of people at dignitas dying and not drinking alcohol.

Alcohol brings me down anyways, that could be why.

As they say SN is the poor mans version.

Yeah I feel like that now. But despite all the suffering, the finality of that moment is going to be really intense for me. I thought a glass of wine before would help cut some of the edge, but it's not worth the risk of throwing up so just going to do it without a drink before.

If your worried about taste or after taste you could numb your tongue a little with chloraseptic spray and also suck on a fudgsicle after you drink the n

Why does alcohol make you more likely to throw up with N if you are also taking antiemetics?

Well. It's a complicated question. Some antiemetics are a bit weaker like Domperidone and others are stronger, but if you have what amounts to a cup of liquid N and you mix in alcohol, there is a risk and possibility you will throw up and that the antiemetic may not be able to handle all of that liquid. I think it's why it's recommended for people to test their antiemetics beforehand.

I will go with the reccomended methoclopramide just to be sure. It should be the best option.

This is all a bit exaggerated imo.
I have tasted N and it's not a good taste but it's not as bad as I thought it would be, it's very manageble.
Ofcourse you need to get rid of the taste as you drank it, as it's not pleasant.
Personally I will rinse my mouth with red wine right after I drink the N.
