Never really there

So I've been reading some of the media regarding the site and it's not too pretty. Most if it I feel is an appeal to emotions and really undersells what the forum is and how it helps. I feel like the only things that are really a problem would be people taking advantage of us and ctb "encouragement". The latter being more of PR issue since I think most people here get it.
I'm not really sure how to solve the former though, safety nets? How do you even implement that without compromising what the site is?
The latter is somewhat less complicated but still vague. I feel like the issues with "I hope you find peace" were discussed quite well in a previous post (here). I feel like "I'm here if you need anyone and hope you find peace regardless of what happens" is somewhat better. It emphasises what I feel the site is really about, having people who you can relate to and escaping misery. I'm not sure if the "peace" part can be taken out, it does somewhat imply that ctb leads to peace, but you could argue that it's a wish for peace in existence as well.
Thoughts?
