Help Propranolol

I recently got prescribed propranolol and I was wondering how much I would need to use if I used SN. I've tried reading the SN megathreads but I couldn't really find a clear answer

It's purpose (in part) is to relieve anxiety so whatever has been prescribed for you personally would be the best dose. 10mg-40mg is recommended to alleviate physical symptoms of anxiety. I use 40mg myself and take it an hour before I need it. You could experiment a bit and find your optimal dose.

I was prescribed propranolol for anxiety because I really have anxiety. I was prescribed 10mgs, did nothing. I tried up to 50mgs and still did nothing for my anxiety. Maybe you will have better luck.

If you have anxiety especially a lot of body symptoms (sweating, shakiness) talk your psych or regular doc they'll prescribe it to you. It's like a none addictive alternative to Xanax (alprazolam) and Klonopin. It's low level so only targets physical symptoms. Easy to get, from your doc if you tell them you have anxiety and don't want to be on anything heavy.
