Hi all, Quick question. I have 18 tabs of propanolol at 20 mg= 360 mg. I have Xanax .5 mg. Do I have enough propanolol to help with the SN? How much of each would I take? and how far ahead of the SN?

Now, you're supposed to take 800 mg of Prop, in order to potentiate SN

0.5mg of Xanax is too little to hasten your death. You can take it half an hour before the SN to help with anxiety. You have less than the recommended propranolol dosage but I believe it would still help a bit as 360mg is an overdose of propranolol.

I'm not sure about the SN but the Propranolol and Xanax does are very low. The fatal dose of Propranolol is in the order of 3g.

The Xanax isn't intended to hasten death anyway, it's only to help provide a feeling of relaxation.

There are two very differing goals for the propranolol:
  1. The PPH requires it to help potentiate the SN mixture. Originally the amount of propranolol specified was 2 grams, then 1 gram and now apparently is 800mg.

  2. Stan's Guide does not require it, and only suggests it as an optional extra to reduce the feelings of rapid heart rate that SN produces. The propranolol dosage for this purpose is less widely-agreed upon, but the OP certainly has enough (or even too much) for this purpose.

It's now a requirement in the PPH and not a suggestion?

Well, as I recall every SN medication in the PPH is recommended with the same level of assertiveness, so I would say they are all regarded as requirements rather than suggested as being optional.

Hmm. Previously, PN said in a video it was a potentiator but not a requirement, that was when it was 2g. And plenty of folks have ctb'd without propanolol, and already folks often think they have to abandon the method if they don't have meto. So I think a direct quote from the latest PPH of the full explanation of the method and the regimen would be helpful, so that there's no misinformation and subsequent, potentially incorrect discouragement.

I am currently taking propranolol. When I take 80 mg, my heartbeat is around 50 bpm. Normally it is 70-80 bpm. No idea what will the pressure and bpm drop be if I take the recommended in PePH dose. If 80 mg makes a difference like that, I expect even 800 mg is way too much.

Well, a potentiator means it's supposed to help the SN's lethality, right?

Potentiate definition: increase the power, effect, or likelihood of (something, especially a drug or physiological reaction).

It's going to further depress respiration and heart rate, therefore, if I understand correctly (and PN doesn't explain this so I'm not certain), one would lose consciousness more quickly and die more quickly.

The 800 mg, as I understand it, isn't about easing tachycardia/lowering heart rate, but about increasing the effects of SN.

@GoodPersonEffed As I understood, when we take SN, our blood pressure and heartbeat spikes to compensate the decrease of oxygen level in blood. The thing that propranolol does is making the body unable to compensate. Hence, the amount of saturated oxygen will be lower resulting in a faster fainting. However, we don't know what is the heartbeat and pressure when SN is already taken if we take propranolol prior to that. I mean if they are lower than normal or around normal.

@Living sucks I strongly disagree to take propranolol and SN in the same drink because onset of propranolol will be when we already fainted. As a way of potentiation it is good, but then propranolol won't make us faint faster.

But it will be dissolved, so it will act much more quickly than if taken whole, correct?

Yes, it's crushed and dissolved so it acts as quickly As the SN. It can be taken 30 mins prior also.

@GoodPersonEffed If we mean oral route of administration, the onset is 30 min. Well, we may win 5-10 minutes dissolving it but the result is the same. Peak concentration is reached 60-90 minutes after administration.

3rd paragraph .. last sentence

Thank you!

So from reading this, it seems that Tagamet and meto, as well as propanolol, are potentiators but not required. In fact, PN is saying that propanol is the most powerful potentiator of the three.
Yes, it's crushed and dissolved so it acts as quickly As the SN. It can be taken 30 mins prior also.

Where does it say it can be taken 30 min prior? I would be concerned that I would lose consciousness from such a high dosage before ingesting the SN.

I can't find it .. I'm still looking. But an exit member asked PN if they can take the 800mg P 30 mins prior to SN and he replied yes. It was a forum post.

EDIT: @GoodPersonEffed I found it.. but i was mistaken. They asked to take 800mg instant release tabs not crushed.

One user on the Exit forum took their life with SN with a combination of propanol. Nitschke gave him the "green light". The name has been redacted for the user's privacy.

Wow. Just ordered Propranolol from a website.
This was after a refusal by one company.
It was so scary easy,I think it may be a con,but we'll see tomorrow.
One hour delivery slot.
If it's legit,I will certainly share via PM.
ETA Thought that was too good to be true. They take all your details and payment info, only now does it tell me it's awaiting Dr's review.
Fingers crossed.
ETA - Damn. Refused. They explained why though, which means I'll do better on the next attempt.
ETA Found another supplier. Spoke to them on phone etc Hopefully, this'll be a goodun.
ETA Update. Order approved, should arrive tomorrow. That was a bit too easy.
The website basically tells you the correct answers. You have to select "yes" or "no"
If you make an incorrect choice, the site responds "We cannot supply you etc"
So,you simply choose the other option.
Roll on tomorrow.
Now,will some bloody SN please be delivered

What are your sources for this information?

How do you know how many minutes we win? And how do you know how long peak concentration takes if the medication is dissolved? When taking such a high amount, does peak concentration matter?

@GoodPersonEffed

"Propranolol is completely absorbed after oral administration and peak plasma concentrations occur 1 to 2 hours after dosing in fasting patients."

" Propranolol is rapidly and completely absorbed, with peak plasma levels achieved about 1–3 hours after ingestion. More than 90% of the drug is found bound to plasma protein in the blood"
.

"After oral administration, propranolol is almost completely and rapidly absorbed from the gastrointestinal tract. However, because of the high first-pass metabolism and hepatic tissue binding, the absolute bioavailability is only about 30% and varies greatly between individuals. Peak plasma
concentration occurs one to two hours after administration"
(Frishman et al., 1979; Goodman & Gilman, 1985).

"Onset: 30 min" (table)

Now my personal observation. You can make this experiment as well. I immersed the full pill of Accord Propranolol in water and a crushed one separately. Propranolol does not seem very soluble in a form of tablets: full tablet and a crushed one did not dissolve even in half an hour. I see no big difference in results, if only we consider the fact that the more surface we have, the faster object with the same mass should dissolve. Same results go in a difference of 5-10 minutes. The hardest thing was to crush. 40 mg propranolol hydrochloride tablet is very small, I tried to crush a full tablet half an hour later and it was still very tough. I guess these tablets were not meant to be mixed and crushed, everything does our stomach. That's kind of an interesting observation.

The facts make me think that 30 minutes may not be enough and if we take a solution of SN and propranolol together, we won't feel a difference, the effect will be same as if we would take SN alone. Propranolol will make us die and potentiate SN but later, when we already passed out. I will check this as well, will try to find out when propranolol actually kicks in if it is crushed and consumed as it is. Your question made me curious.

@faust make sure to note that in the pph as attached in post 15, the 2nd Note, states that "slow release forms of the drug are not suitable"
I don't know what form you're quoting above.

My propranolol just arrived. Gosh, that was a pinch of pi$$ to get.
Best not to post a photo, incase the source is identifiable. The box has braile-like bumps on it,so it's trackable for sure.
