I tested it, and it can work, I didnt feel any pain, I just got scared because I started to see colors, and I think my gas tank is not huge enough, but I'm completely shure it can work! The dificult part here, it is taking me too much time to fill up the bag with gas... And I know it can be dangerous because of the flame risk, but I turned off electricity current of all house... I'll try to upload some photos. I'm happy, yey! I just have a question, ¿do you think I'll have to put up with the colors I saw? I didn't feel anything else except that...

How did you do your exit bag?
Using a trashcan bag, with an elastic rope to keep it holding all around my neck, and I used a medical tubular cable to transfer gas from tank to the bag. To keep it hermetic i used isolate tape. Sorry i tried to upload a photo, but page didn't work with my phone

I've tried with propane before, the overwhelming smell in the exit bag made it very difficult for me, to a point I find it choking. I have since gotten hold of helium instead. You are also right the risk of fire is very real, if you are doing it at home or in a building.

I brought propane for solding, and the smell is much less stronger than normal propane we use to cook

I know it isn't, but it can work, I'm using a small 14oz tank, just to fill a bag around my head, the risk is less than using a 20 litre tank

I'm about to do this. I think I can handle the smell and I like the tip about turning of electricity in the house. I know that there is a risk.

Are you opening all the windows in your flat?
No. I am dealing myself in my room with duct tape around the doors and going in the closet with the tank and releasing it in there.

Can't PM you yet. So you live in a house by yourself and not an appartment? Cause otherwise it would be stupid to endanger other people. Also the ones who discover you are possibly at risk of an explosion. Not trying to guilt trip, just saying. Can't you build an exit bag or do it in your car?

It's a house and I am by myself. The closet house is empty and I am using an exit bag. You recommend I do it outside? I am trying to limit the amount of oxygen as much as I can. Please view my thread for all details.

Tell me more about this. I need more details in terms of if you sealed all exits and source of entering air. How big was the tank? Propane gas or liquified petroleum.
