these people want us to live for their own business, but they also want us to bear the costs of our own miserable life on top of the pain of being alive, which just goes to show how pathetic and hypocritical they are. If they are forcing us to live (whether by trying to take down this website or hamper all possible methods) then it is their obligation to make our lives as tolerable as possible, starting with paying our expenses so that at least we don't have to be wage slaves. if they did that, surely many here would give up on suicide. That would be truly pro lifer act that would save many lives here :pfff: But they won't because they don't really care, I even bet if they were forced to give us money it wouldn't be long before they send a hitman to kill us all :pfff:

Who are the « pro lifers » you are specifically talking about ? Successful people ? Governments ? Just generally healthy people or ones that disagree with pro-choice overall ? Because since the Covid shots roll out higher death rates everywhere I don't think the higher ups want more people alive, quite the opposite tbh. Truth is it's a jungle out there and some people are just better at surviving than others …

That's a great suggestion. Hey, pro-lifers, as a trans woman, a condition for me to continue life is being able to pass - please cover the costs of around 40'000 dollars for my facial feminization surgery. It would improve my life drastically and I would maybe give life another chance... maybe. I wish I could look into the mirror without drowing in gender dysphoria and your contributions would be highly appreciated. Thanks a lot!

all of them? But mainly the Governments , because it is precisely their fault that many people become suicidal, thanks to their corruption that forces many people to work as wage slaves.
They also try to oppress any means of suicide at all costs, even using dirty tricks like lying and threats to those who promote the methods. I know this, because I was once in a whats app group that originated here and the members helped each other with methods and it didn't take long for the government to jail a bunch of them. They still lied on the news channels, treating these members as criminals on the same level as rapists and murderers, as if they had encouraged the rest of the group to kill themselves when, in fact, they were the kindest people I've ever met in my life, they always gave advice to change our mind about suicide and improve life instead.

Don't forget governments who don't provide enough assistance or support to disabled people, who either have to work and receive no or few accommodations, or go on disability benefits and live in poverty—and risk being homeless, since the waiting lists for housing are absurdly long. Is it any wonder that people want to die by suicide rather than go through that bullshit?

In my country, disabled people receive payments from the state, but unfortunately euthanasia is not available even for them, despite the fact that they spend the budget, so profit or loss from people is not their reason for allowing or forbidding euthanasia.

The biggest problem that prolifers create is that euthanasia is not available to anyone anywhere in the world. In the future, euthanasia will be available to everyone, and people will be surprised that in our time it was not available. This time will be perceived as something cruel and inhuman. This will definitely happen, this is the banal progress of mankind.

These pro lifers are so focused on forcing people to exist, regardless of the circumstances the person is going through. They certainly place more emphasis on quantity rather than quality of lives. Of course they don't care about what suicidal people go through in any way even if they pretend to. If they really wanted to improve quality of life for people they would realise that pro life platitudes and removing suicide method options don't really improve anything or solve real problems.

But at least in my case, nothing could ever make me want to exist, so the option of a peaceful exit from this life should always be there even if many people no longer are suicidal because of improved quality of life. Existing could never be desirable at all in any way to me, and nothing can stop deterioration from health problems. Maybe many could exist in a world that is focused on reducing suffering for people instead of just stigmatising suicide, but at least for me only death could bring me the relief that I wish for.

Really?absolutely nothing in this world could make you happy? even if the genie in the lamp appears to you and grants you any wish, would you still choose to be erased ?

Some people really don't like the idea of existing at all.

If it were me, I'd take the genie, but my views aren't universal. Since the genie doesn't exist, I'm going to go.

They could pay all of my bills, which are minimal, and it still wouldn't affect me not wanting to be here. I guess I've just seen enough of this bad movie and need to leave the theater.

I don't think some people are wired for happiness. It's related to serotonin levels.

Serotonin levels are inherited/genetic. They could be low to begin with or depleted through repeated traumatic experiences. Once they're depleted, it will take constant nurturing (through diet, medication, etc.) to replenish them and keep them at a healthy level.

Despite what all the motivational speakers say, happines is not a state of mind you can adopt at will.

Yes, of course I would. To me there is nothing more ideal than permanent non existence. I simply dislike existing in every single way possible, this world is such a cruel, horrific place and I want nothing to do with it at all. The existence of life is simply a disturbing thing, I don't want to be aware or have to experience any of this, it's all just so tiring and unnecessary.

Well the genie would have to give me several hundred million dollars, and a dude for my very own. But said dude should be at least 6'4 and have nice man fur. But if I can't have that, as there is no genie, then I'd rather make a final exit

Emissary of the right to die.
Aug 30, 2018

Excellent post, and yes, I had similar ideas in the past too, especially with how they treat people who are pro-choice, pro-right to die. Indeed, they would be unwilling to do so for long, or better yet, very paltry amounts of aid, like buying someone a meal, a cup of coffee/tea, and/or very small gift if even. Then they disappear as if they never interacted with said person. I believe they do those small deeds (enough to claim they 'helped', but not enough to solve a person's problems - assuming it could be solved to begin with) so they can feel good/proud of themselves (again, it's all about them). Regarding them rather hiring a hitman than to pay for our bills and debt, that would be ironic and perhaps even fulfilling our wish for us (for the people who want to be dead anyway).

They can start by paying the medical fees for the psych wards they love shoving us into.
I would be in favor of that. Let's make a policy/law where if one gets sent to the psych ward against one's own will (involuntarily, or voluntarily under duress (which technically is still involuntary just without the formalities) or threat of involuntary commitment), then the person being subjected to it will not be responsible for the bill(s) they incurred during their (temporary) stay. I am willing to bet that there will be less involuntary commitments and the bar to get forcibly committed will be even higher than it is now.

I feel the same way as well. No amount of money will solve the problems that I am still facing in the current day, and sometimes, some problems will never be solved, but merely accepted as treated as 'part of life'. I too, would rather opt out than to continue unnecessary endurance and perseverance for the sake of others. If there was no life, then there would be no problems.

Well the genie would have to give me several hundred million dollars, and a dude for my very own. But said dude should be at least 6'4 and have nice man fur. But if I can't have that, as there is no genie, then I'd rather make a final exit
I agree with you. I too have things that I could not reliably or easily fulfill in this life even if I yearned for them as much as possible. Even with money, it can only go so far and while my quality of life may be (objectively) better, it is still not sufficient for me to consider living. I would rather exit on my own terms, preferably with peace and dignity, but any (reliable and as painless) exit would be a boon for me.

Money is not the reason for my chronic suicidality, so they can keep theirs as far as I'm concerned. What I want from our friendly neighborhood armchair activists is for them to quit virtue signaling and do anything useful whatsoever.

You want an analogy for how pointless these people are? Imagine a world riddled with disease, in which there are no cures and no satisfactory treatments. Afflicted people lie on filthy mattresses moaning, begging for water, begging for kindness, begging for unconsciousness. None ever arrives. Eventually one or another of these people starts to die. They go into shock and are plainly not long for the world. Hallelujah! Sweet deliverance at last!

Then there's the faint sound of an ambulance siren in the distance. The Suicide Squad is on the way! These ministering angels kick in the dying person's door, tromp all over their house, shoot their dog, and haul them off to 'treatment' in handcuffs. The Treatment Team makes sure their heart will continue to beat and their lungs will continue to oxygenate their blood for the foreseeable future.

Then they're plopped right back onto the filthy mattresses where they started, and the cycle begins anew.

How about our would-be saviors do literally anything but the equivalent of that?

I always thought that if I could just get away from slave jobs that I'd be happy and my suicidal tendencies would subside. Then I got on disability, which took the job aspect out of my life… guess what… still suicidal AF. Its not always just about money, but it's hard to know one way or the other until you're put into the position where you don't have to worry about working anymore. I do feel for anyone who has to work slave wage jobs though, I did it for almost 30 years and it can be hell on earth depending on your circumstances.
