Pro-lifers feel morally superior I hate their arrogance

They see themselves as the the good ones because they "protect" people from dying. I once listened to a podcast the guest was extremely pro-life. (a journalist) I hate her since then when I see her in talkshows. I despise her. I am glad I stopped to listen to these people. Their arrogance to determine about other people's lives drives me nuts. I don't follow your stupid religion these rules don't count for me.
The podcast was about the German highest court decision that forced very liberal assisted suicide rules. She said the government should ignore it and wait maybe the court changes its mind (against the constitution)
She was so extremely arrogant (I think she is very conservative) and made the other 2 hosts look like they were pro-death.

I stay away from pro lifers. Some people do not want to be saved. Being 'saved' is just prolonging suffering. They should learn to respect people's personal decisions about their lives. We have the right to take our lives at any time of our choosing and society needs to recognise this by allowing us a peaceful exit. Most pro lifers have probably never been suicidal so they cannot comprehend what it is like.

pro-lifers are just pro birth lol. there are kids in foster homes that need families and they are so focused on putting laws on ppls bodies that they dont see through their own shit.

many of them have pro life views bcus of religion, when their own bible states that life begins at first breath, and even ppl back in biblical times had abortions and induced miscarriages.

even in israel, in The Babylonian Talmud Yevamot 69b it states that: "the embryo is considered to be mere water until the fortieth day." Afterwards, it is considered subhuman until it is born.

Exodus says that if a pregnant woman has a miscarriage due to a fight, the aggressor is to be fined. Not killed, because this isn't murder and not the taking of human life.

The most egregious contradiction occurs whenever the religionists invoke a biblical justification for their sanctimonious stance, because the Judeo-Christian God simply does not care about the lives of pregnant women and their unborn children. Abortion opponents cite a dozen verses that refer to the developing fetus but not one that condemns abortion.

The bible is an unending compilation of atrocities illustrating God's penchant for feticide, infanticide and the wholesale slaughter of adults.

I believe that people should have a choice in whether they live or die. Obviously when it comes to dying we don't always get a choice, because we're all going to go down that road regardless. That being said, if a friend or loved one comes to me regarding CTB thoughts or plans, I am going to attempt to talk through it with them. While I believe that everyone should have the choice, I do also think that some people take their lives too soon and if given the option to regret it probably would. It's something you need to be entirely ready for, so I guess in that sense I can be pro-life myself. But I do agree that some can be overly arrogant about it, especially those making the laws. Generally speaking, when we CTB we are not harming anyone but ourselves. You can talk about an emotional toll, but to me that shouldn't force the government into trying to keep people alive.

Most of the time it's about money and ethics. The reason websites don't allow the talks that we have here is because they are afraid of potential backlash. I also believe that's partially why euthanasia is illegal in a lot of places. They probably don't want the backlash they'd face from family members and the like, not to mention the ethics police and media, etc.

These people make me sick to my stomach. Who are they trying to kid. 99% of the people walking around don't give a rats ass about anything or anyone who's actions don't directly effect them. or their family members The ones who do care stop caring when it becomes an inconvenience to them in any way. Hypocrite. Is she going to fix anyone's problems for them? ...NO. Then she should keep their opinions to herself, Unless you are in another persons shoes you can never understand what they are dealing with and have no right to judge their decision to end their life.

It probably doesn't help that those kinds of people can point to the people who recovered from suicidal ideation and say "look, they're so happy!" while ignoring the fact that unimaginably suicidal people A) most likely dead and B) wouldn't want to be used as an example
