Here it is:

I simply do not understand why people continue telling about pro-life stuff which do not work.
It is obvious that it never worked and will never work.
Just check how many suicidal people are there in comments.
Now let's go to the video itself.

"If you are having thoughts of suicide, please, call the National Suicide bla bla bla" - that's how the video starts. Are you fucking serious that all suicidal people will call the stranger they never talked to? Nice try, let's see what happens next.
"Realize your worth"... Shit, they have just reminded me I worth nothing. Are you sure it is a good advice?
"You would be deeply missed by your loved ones who'd have to cope with your permanent absence and who would miss you and grieve for you forever..." Ahmm, are you trying to shame me now, if they never truly cared about me all my life, why would they have to care about me when I pass away?
Forever? Stop telling that. You will be the first who will put your old parents to nursing/retirement home. And when they die, you will miss them a few weeks or months and after you will have to fight with your brothers of sisters to get half of inherited stuff.
"In fact you believe that the suicide is the only way out might be linked to something else...Depression, bipolar disorder, anxiety or schizophrenia are often present in the suicidal ... these mental illnesses are diagnosable and treatable" ... I just have no words, if everything is so treatable, why me and many people here and in comments are on the edge? Cmon, this is far from reality, you are like advertising a magic belt which will make you lose 30 kilos a month!
"Suicidal thoughts are not treatable but the illnesses associated with them certainly are" Bravo, the one who talks created a remedy against all mental illnesses, Nobel Committee, where are you?
"This might be a lifelong process and that's okay"... So you have just proven it is not treatable. Lifelong process? You mean, I will have to suffer all my life? No, thanks.
"Life is hard but you don't have to bear it alone"... Reminded me of those guys who walk down the streets and talk to people about religion.
"Ah well, that's all for me today"... Yes, I often feel this way too lol

The video has almost 5 million views. As you may expect, many people who watched this video are suicidal. They were browsing YouTube to make their lives easier and better and what did they get? Standard pro-life thoughts and links they would never use in their darkest dreams. So what was the point? Getting more views and subscribers? Is that the help people deserve?

Any pro-life video is bullshit to me. I also HATE those articles that label themselves as 'suicide methods' and are actually just pro-fucking-life shitty lame advice. This is just disrespectful. Imagine that I'm looking for a suicide method, do you really think some bullshit advice will take me out of it? And the advice is basically 'ur family be sad' no shit sherlock. For a week, maybe? It's not like I give a crap about it. Anyway that pissed me off. Fuck life.

Yes, when you browse suicide methods, see the preview that satisfies all your needs, then you open the new tab and see the phone number with an international code of Australia or any other country which is far from you as hell.

Here's my own rebuttal to that video.

"If you are having thoughts of suicide, please, call the National Suicide hotline"
-Yeah I did call once, but I don't think it's worth it now. I'd rather use the university services where I can easily report bad behavior.

"Realize your worth"
-Uh, what worth? Since when did I have worth?! There's nothing good about me and I won't believe your stupid "facts" without supporting evidence.

"You would be deeply missed by your loved ones who'd have to cope with your permanent absence and who would miss you and grieve for you forever..."
-Well, they should've cared for me while I was still alive. Sign they were taking me for granted, ugh. And would people really miss me, if I'm nobody's favorite? The pain would be more bearable since I'm nobody's best friend or partner. HA!

"Share whatever you've come up with with someone you trust"
-No thanks. I don't trust anybody and it's not like anyone cares. THIS VIDEO FUCKING ASSUMES THAT EVERY PERSON IN THE WORLD IS PRIVILEGED TO HAVE FRIENDS AND FAMILY TO CONFIDE IN. IT'S NO DIFFERENT FROM ASSUMING THAT EVERYONE IS RICH AND POWERFUL.

"This might be a lifelong process and that's okay"
-Lifelong process? No different from being permanently bound in a wheelchair, I see!

"Life is hard but you don't have to bear it alone"
I, unfortunately, have to do this, because people get tired of me being a burden.

What really gets me is that the video assumes that EVERYONE has people who care about them. No, it's a fucking privilege to be loved. Do you think these "friends" care about me if they don't bother to greet me on my birthday when I placed it on public in my profile? Also, the fact that I lack a best friend or partner already says something. I'm worth NOTHING TO ANYONE. People care about me, but they don't care about me enough to miss me when I'm gone. Why does no one talk about the fact that good mental health is nothing but a privilege. Friendship is a privilege. Family is a privilege. And you don't work for those privileges, they're given to you at random chance. It's sooooo much easier to CTB than follow this "advice" that doesn't apply to me. This is nothing but pseudoscientific snake oil bullshit.

This is cheezy to me.. but that's my opinion..
It's the same song and dance that we hear and see all of the time. They mention ideas that you'd swear they think we've never done or thought of. "Write in a diary". Cool, so if I write in a diary, will I feel better? Probably for thirty minutes to an hour. I'm not gonna write in a diary every time I'm down.. again, that's just me. ((For those who do though, if it works for you, it works for you!! :D))

They also mention about our thoughts spiralling out of control almost as if we can control it. I think if we could control it, this community wouldn't exist; nor suicide.

As for family who would grieve, some of us know our families would care, and others who don't, they don't. Either way, it seems more selfish to want to keep someone hear who's in a constant battle. I hate hearing "suicide is selfish". Honestly, it's not. There's so many members in this community who are hurt to leave their family. In fact, some stick around only for their family. I hate this assumption. No one should ever assume that until they hit rock bottom.

I guess what I'm trying to say is this is a bunch of bull

The bi... lady sounds like not as someone who gives an advice but an order instead. "CALL IMMEDIATELY" - yeah, let me take the rope of my neck, lol... People are dumb as hell. How can she assume that all mental or physical illnesses are treatable? Or she knows the secret and wants to tell us how to be healthy and happy? There are so many people in this world that don't have friends or family, like myself, and I don't trust anyone, I know 100% people don't care. All these suicide prevention lines are traps for those poor people that suffer to get them into more debts. In US healthcare is a shit. There is nothing about people or health, only about money. The very first question they ask is about your insurance and it doesn't cover everything, you still have to pay despite you pay for your insurance. Why would someone ask a professional for help if they have same answers for every question. Seriously, if I choose to get help I have to be ready:

1. to pay money, all the time, everywhere, for everything, a lot;
2. to lose my freedom as a human, they will force me to do things against my will;
3. to take meds that will cause me even more problems cause all of them 100% have side effects, there is no magic;
4. to be labeled, ashamed, bullied, ignored and so on, you name it.

Why do we even need those prevention lines? If they really want to help people then stop asking for taxes and give home to everyone, a job we would enjoy (those who wanted to be a doctor work as housekeeper, cause who cares that the person has spent years in college and huge money), decent healthcare - at least these 3 steps would make million of people's lives a lot better. Of course that's not enough, there are so many problems and some of them really hard to solve, but the rest is obvious and if they do nothing about it then they don't care.

Honestly, it would be hilarious if someone made a parody video of this pro-life crap (maybe someone has, I'll have to look for it), that uses the same style of humor as the one used in your responses to the questions @faust

The only way that a video might prevent me from killing myself is if it causes me to lmao, even if it only prevents it for a few minutes. Typical pro-life videos make me want to kill myself before the video is even over.

Ridiculous....this video assumes there is a one size fits all solution for every situation. We are dealing with complex issues involving self esteem, chemical reactions on a neurological level, past experiences, this list goes on and on. To assume that there is a simple solution for every situation is ridiculous and ignorant and actually often exacerbates the problem more often than not. As long as people continue to see issues through their own filters, they cannot solve others problems.

I do think the lines can be helpful, though I agree more should be done. There's also the issue of risk being committed which has been shown to increase suicide, and abuse/ lack of freedom is common place. Most common reason for suicide is supposed to be feeling trapped. So naturally suicidal people are locked up against their will, and without many of their possessions.

Videos like this just demonstrate that they haven't got a damn clue and listen to others who also don't have a clue instead of listening to the people they claim they want to help. But why would they? After all we are all nuts. I mean, I think I'm a potato so I'm clearly away with the fairies.

I never understood the helpline thing, I mean sure if you're on edge, super impulsive, calling (might?) help...? I have called in the past just to see, and it felt so.....pointless. I felt like an idiot telling my story to a complete stranger who honestly doesn't give af and who's main priority is to keep you alive whilst trivializing your pain in the process.

"If you are having thoughts of suicide, please, call the National Suicide hotline"
-Yeah I did call once, but I don't think it's worth it now. I'd rather use the university services where I can easily report bad behavior.

I was in anonymous chat once and the user on the other side of the screen was not too talkative. And the limit was 2 hours only. The next day was already another person probably.

"Share whatever you've come up with with someone you trust"

My friend once told me the story. When he was making a lot of money, he had many friends. When he lost everything, most of them disappeared. So it is not too easy to find out who is a real friend when you are doing okay. Hence, troubles reveal the truth. Those people who are around you are not the same when you reach the bottom.

@ceasetobreathe03 I did not criticize an advice to write something in a diary, because it really helps to some people. But it should be used for reflection, not for endless ranting. The best way to use it would be planning. Of course, they would not teach you how to draw mind maps, how to create plans properly - they just offer to write whatever. So it is 50/50, they mentioned but did not tell anything how to use it properly.
Concerning selfishness, there was one opinion which is stuck in my mind: if you love, you will let go. We are not a private property, a personal clown or designed to meet somebody's expectations. We cannot live for others if we neglect our own lives. We cannot be good to everybody forgetting about ourselves. Exclusion would be mutual altruism, but that is a different thing. True love makes us free, codependency puts us in bonds.

@justanotherhuman6 Especially when they are wageslaving and will have to pay mortgage 20 years more.

@s1mplem3 I would like to add a bit. There are cases when people CTB because of their debts. It is a very common thing but usually untold. However, let's imagine a man named Peter who owes 100 grand to debt collectors. Tomorrow he should appear in court and he just wants to end everything. He buys a rope and tries to hang himself on a backyard. His neighbors see everything and decide to call 911. He closed his life insurance to pay a part of a debt and cannot afford medical insurance anymore. Unfortunately, when certain services come, he is still breathing and conscious. They remove him from the tree and put in emergency department for a few weeks. And then he gets a bill with 70 grand and since he has no insurance, he will have to pay every cent. The debt has almost doubled up and the issue is not resolved. And now he is sitting outside, looking at the bill and cannot understand why x-ray of a neck cost him 4 grand. But at least he is alive,- a pro-lifer will say.

@Lost in a Dream It should not sound promising, but I had an idea of making something like this. I even thought about pro-choice vlog on YouTube, but my time is very limited and it is obvious I would not be able to make new videos every day. You know, 2-3-4 months is not enough to make something very noticeable.

@Kumachan Yes, it is not the same as paying an animator to make a short video.

@idonk The author just never had medical bills from psych ward, sofa is too soft to stand up and google reports of those who now owe a fortune.

@avoid_slow_death same with education. Children have to study Maths when they are good at painting, they have F's for subjects they will never require when they grow up, hard children in some schools have to be among other hard children, because they "are not too good to study with everybody"

@Erase.myself Thanks, glad I managed to make you laugh :D It actually came from the purpose of SN. It is used to cure meat. When cops or sellers ask what is it for, we say meat curing, but in fact we want to cure ourselves. And in the supermarkets there are salads which contain mayo, but if you buy the cheapest, it is quite often pure mayo with a bit of salad. In our case we would not have meat with SN, but SN with traces of meat lol.

@GoodPersonEffed Thank you, I will simply get mad without humor.

@Never Free Suicide is a free will, we are trapped when we appear in mental health hospital. You just cannot say to the nurse I want to go to McDonalds nearby because food here is trash, you cannot visit the mother nature and start a bonfire because camping is your oxygen. Our options are limited when we are "imprisoned"

@Underscore I think when recorded phone calls start appearing in social media, nobody will ever call them again.

@Pryras Not everybody is able to call them. Sometimes lines are busy, there was even a case when a person CTB after multiple times calling and nobody answered, if anybody remembers this story, could you, please, share the link!

That's why it made me laugh so hard, because it's used to cure meat. I like how you say but we use it to cure ourselves. Good way to phrase it, my friend

Lmao, its the worst fucking JOKE on this planet :')
Guilt trips, guilt trips, guilt trips, with a touch of baiting troubled people so they can violate their freedom.
I remember calling suicide hotlines - called them at least 8 times, nobody picked up. Either occupied or out of service
All my therapists had to say about me being suicidal was that Im selfish and attention seeking. Its like they were blind to the fact that I have problems and these problems cause me to want to ctb. Noooo, its my fault.
Nurses telling me to stop using up resources when there are people who genuinely want help.
Being told by paramedics to 'try harder because Im wasting their'. 'Jump at night, we need our coffee' time'. REALLY? Whos selfish now?
Oh and dont forget the one time I was being honest on the internet about being suicidal and when I went on a walk police were already waiting on the bridge for me. I didnt even specify which bridge, they probably used their locating system. Orwell's 1984 much

I call bullshit.
