Method Prescription drug effectiveness/Survival instinct

First post here. Hi everyone.

Just gonna cut to the chase. I want to CTB and I think I'm gonna go out via OD, but I don't have access to much as I'm still in college. I was thinking about some pills my mother takes for her thyroid disease, but I am unsure about the effectiveness of drugs like that. Is Levothyroxine/Hydrochlorothiaziade effective? Are there any other pills I could mix with them that are particularly effective/lethal?

Also, how can I overcome that survival instinct when it's time? How can I suppress it to get over my nerves and just do it already? My body doesn't want to go, but my brain sure does, and I could use some advice.

Drug poisonings of all forms are only effective in about 1.5% of cases. Just an FYI.

Besides barbiturates (e.g., pentobarbital AKA N) or inorganic salts (e.g., sodium nitrite), most pharmaceutical drugs are not fatal as they have been designed to be difficult to commit suicide with.

If they are fatal they will likely be very painful, damagimg certain organs or bodily systems in the process, potentially causing seizures or cognitive dysfunctions, painful heart palpitations/arythmias, or feelings of suffocation along the way.

I don't recommend drug poisonings asides from those recommended in the peaceful pill handbook (N, SN, cardiac switch, etc). For this reason.

Thyroid medications certainly will not work

The only way to get rid of SI is by taking anxiolytic drugs or drugs that will make you unconscious prior to your method. The SI reduction will be proportional to the amount of anxiolytic drugs you take, but the trade off is lacking coordination which may be necessary depending on your method of choice.

Thanks for the quick response. And yeah, it seems like nothing I can really get my hands on is deadly enough. Damn. Well I always have the option of getting a gun license sometime in the future. Just have to struggle through for now which... ugh. I have no idea how I'm going to do that, but I have to, if I want real, lasting peace.

I'm sorry to bear bad news but I'm glad I was able to give you accurate information so you're better able to make an informed decision.

It really is frustrating... A gun license may be the best bet. Just be sure to position it correctly so you don't do something regrettable like waking up alive without a face.

In the meantime try to do some things you've wanted to do before dying and consolidate your reasons for and preparation for dying.

On a side note... I personally don't really have anything I "want" to do before dying. I don't really want to do... anything. I've never felt any drive. Never felt like I had to or should really chase anything. Everything that I've had that could even be remotely considered an "interest" was related to gaming, which always left me unfulfilled. I've never really been interested in the real world. Whether that's the fault of the family that raised me, the circumstances I was in, or just me, isn't really for me to say.

I am a Christian... kind of. I'm not sure what I believe, really. But I do believe in a God, and a loving one. I just hope He can forgive me for not wanting to live...
