Hi everyone,

I'm still undecided what method I ought to choose to CTB.

I was thinking about using Portable Gas Stoves, or barbeque grills in a small, enclosed, unventilated room for a CO build up.

Do you think this method works? It sounds peaceful to me, but not quite sure if it would work or not.

How do you make sure you don't hurt anyone else? In a video I watched the CO can move to other rooms. I don't drive so I do not have a car to do it in. It has to be a bathroom or bedroom and I have to make sure it won't hurt anyone. And someone will come in my room sometime...if they come in the room to get me will the CO kill them right away or hurt them? I have to make sure I only hurt myself

I'm afraid of hurting somebody else too.
But I saw some people who CTB'ed with this method and they usually leave a piece of paper that says "be aware of the gas leak in the room" I was thinking doing the same.

Those gasses wouldn't kill them right away I guess, because otherwise the people who CTB'ed with CO poisoning in their room wouldn't be dragged away from their homes by the rescuers.

As I said in my previous thread, I might be in Australia in a relatively short time, and getting SN over there doesn't seem to be easy. I didn't want to risk it so I was looking for another method besides SN. I have it already, along with domperidone but my family wants to see me get a job and start a new life in Australia.

I wish I had the power to be forgotten altogether from everyone that knows me, and end it all as peaceful as I can so that nobody would be mourning after me and I wouldn't have any regrets.

portable gas stove can work but you need to disable all safety systems if it's needed or possible

I could be wrong, but I believe that propane and natural gas wouldn't give off nearly as much CO2 as burning wood or charcoal would. Maybe some, but it would take quite a bit to build up enough to ctb.

I dont understand. It says clothing? We wear clothing every day without dying...unless it means burning clothing?

co is product of partial oxidation(burning) of carbonaceous substances. so technically everything that has carbon atom in molecule's capable to produce CO

I don't think Portable Gas Stoves, or barbeque grills will create much CO. Rather, more CO2 which would become uncomfortable to be in a room with before you pass out of have lethal effects

you may need to find a different method or go for a camping trip and use a tent.
You seem to be fairly new to the forum and may not have found the major threads that discuss using this method together with a tent and what is required to seal the space etc.

IMO the method is not particularly great to be used in a room for multiple reasons
- gas stoves will give off CO but not enough to build up
- using a charcoal BBQ with an open fire indoors is quite dangerous if it sets anything on fire by accident.
- most apartments/homes have CO detectors and those will go off much too early to alert EMS/fire department
- if you don't have a CO alarm, it is extremely dangerous for others who find you or even live with you. Enough CO can leak through cracks and doors to injure family or even neighbours.
- You have to make a very large sign to make sure that rescuers can wear oxygen masks before going into the room.

This here is a very long thread by a young woman in the UK who did eventually die by CO using a tent.
But it shows how much work and effort went into finding the best tent and how much she had to insulate and prepare. But it did work in the end.
