Curious to where all you fall on the spectrum

I'm agnostic currently, but really enjoying learning more about spiritualism

I grew up catholic but it never stuck for me
My sister and mum derive a lot of peace with their relationship with god

My best friend is muslim, he gets a lot of peace from his relationship with Allah

I spent a week at a buddhism monestary in thailand a few years sweeping the temple, walking around barefoot in the community behind the monks, and help keeping the place tired. One of my classmates dropped out of uni and was a monk there

I have a few people in my life who are varying levels of engaged in their own specific relgion but seems more to be out of cultural norms rather than deep internalised beleif

What did you feel you werent getting from catholicism? I pretty much grew up agnostic but then spirituality found me and changed everything I thought I knew. Since then, I have really liked learning about other cultures and their spiritual practices. I also pracriced a type of a Japanese Buddhism for 5 years.

I dont believe in a God in the traditional sense and dont really resonate with the word, but maybe we are all "God" (with amnesia) or "God" is the entire universe.

Technically, I am an Eastern Orthodox. I was baptised when I was two. Didn't have a choice, I guess.
But currently I'm agnostic. Was an atheist, but at some point it started to feel just like another religion, just focused on a "no god" concept. As for my views — I would love to believe in god or saints or any other stuff. But I just can't.

I voted for both agnostic and atheist. Technically I would believe it, if there was proof of a god, because I generally believe in science. However, I really don't want to believe in a god or higher power, because that would cause me to completely despair. It is bad enough to look at what is going on in the world, all the suffering and injustices and assume that sometimes people just have really bad luck. That it is all caused by coincidence and there is no sense or reason behind it.
But to believe that someone constructed this world with all the awful things happening in it on purpose, because he likes to watch people suffer and struggle is unbearable. Therefore I strongly reject the idea of a god or higher power.
I was raised as a Christian, being exposed both to the Catholic faith through my surrounding as well as to the Lutheran faith from my mother's side. But I became agnostic/atheist during my teenage years.

Because it doesn't really explain the world and how did we come to be like this. Yes, the idea of dharma is quite interesting, ngl. But then again I don't really like that "we're suffering and we're looking for a way out" sentiment. I have enough of this irl. What I do need is an explanation why we have to continue suffering. I need to know that there's some greater reason for moving on and on.
Abrahamic religions can explain it. And the world building in them makes more sense, but unfortunately that's not enough. It doesn't look convincing.

The suffering, or the reason we are suffering?

Right now I'm suffering and I'm trying to find the cause of the suffering.

I do NOT believe in organized religion ever, it is all about money and power.

HOWEVER, I 100% believe in a higher power. Now if it is GOD or ?, but there is a power that is here and everywhere.

I think that it's the downside of being sentient. Being able to analyse the world around us and create abstract concepts. Because, frankly, the life itself isn't fair. And a human as a sentient being tries to justify it. So, IMO, for most of us suffering is a default experience, but we try to justify it. Hence, the reason comes afterwards.

I waffle aimlessly between Catholic and atheist multiple times per day. I acknowledge and accept that there is a tremendous degree of truth in the Faith, but have never felt a meaningful connection to the supernatural, and do not believe that God hears my prayers or pleas, whether He exists or not.
