I don't really understand this thread as if someone wishes to cease existing on their own terms then that's their personal decision, it's not something for other people to decide. Only the individual is the one experiencing their existence and not other people, we all experience existence differently after all.

I believe that all humans should have the option to permanently switch off their consciousness when they wish to. As after all we were all cruelly burdened with the ability to suffer in this existence, one shouldn't have to delay their inevitable if they don't wish to all because other people were selfish enough to procreate. The right to die is the most basic human right.

I don't believe in valid reasons. I believe whatever's the reason you wanna do it, that's good enough. Other people's opinions should have nothing to do w it. To kill yourself ought to be a right.

I don't believe in valid reasons, if there's any reason you think is valid to yourself then it should be, to exit this hellhole of a world filled with homo-sapiens competing with each other and driving one another up the wall, I think any reason is sufficient and shouldn't be looked down on.

Any reason should be valid as long as it isn't to escape a conviction or justice against you.
It shouldn't require anything but a signed document stating you wish to die and either your affairs will be dealt with by [someone] or your affairs can be dealt with the state as it sees fit.

I'm with everyone else. It's deeply personal and ultimately no one should have to justify it to anyone else. Apart from anything else, it's your body so your right to do with it as you see fit.

Not enjoying life.....like what other reason do you need. Who cares if others think your too fortunate to.not enjoy life or its a dumb reason. It's your life you get to do what you want

Cant achieve your goal and also chronic physical/mental illnes is the most important reason of why people probably better commit suicide. If you have a better life and yet wanting to commit suicide, you have to seek mental health professional. But i dont think there's any human that can fix chronic illnes and also the pain of didn't achieve your goal

Extra note: maybe if you failed to achieve 1 or 2 goals, probably therapist still can fix that. But if you failed too much, then i doubt there's someone that can fix you.
