if there was reincarnation, simulation or something else, and you could be born with your ideal family, ideal looks, ideal situation etc. Would you want to give it another try?

the thought of oblivion is comforting to me. and in my two close calls with death (partial hanging and SN), i did not see a light or anything of the sort, i simply did not exist. i had no thoughts or sensations, it was nothingness. i find it peaceful

Yes after Death I believe there will be no more me just as there wasn't for 13.8 billion years before I was birthed into this wretched life.

Non-existence forever means no chance of pain nor suffering if i don't exist, no problems no pain what could be better ? Nothing better imo. What else has zero pain zero suffering?

Having a NDE back in 2012 showed me that what we think is death is merely a transformation, that there is many levels to this shit. Then again I don't know. I know nothing. I don't think anyone truly knows the answer to this. NOT even science.

I don't firmly believe in any of the options so I voted other. I think that's one of the fears for me- other than botching a ctb attempt or pain.

I grew up being told heaven was a thing, a close family member believes hell or at least a form of purgatory exists- along with reincarnation. I've gotten to the point where I really hope there's nothing more after this. I wish I did have a firm belief in a way. I wish I felt confident there was nothing more.

There is no way to know. We all affirm or choose to believe the answer that fits us more comfortable. To be honest, the possibilities are endless. I don't think we as humans have enough understanding yet or we will never be capable of understanding something so crazy like this whole universe. There is a chance there is nothing and life its just a journey, an opportunity to live hellish experiences for the sake of it. There is a chance there exists some justice for those that think they are gods and do evil stuff… anyways, I would prefer personally to think there is some kind of judgement. Some people most, are very evil and do very evil stuff and harm and it would be kind of unfair for them just to disappear like that with no karma given to them. But thats just me giving myself some comfort. We will never be able to know until we cross.

I very strongly believe that when we die, we simply cease to exist and that is it for us, we are gone and there is nothing for all eternity, we are not even aware that we are dead. The thought of non existence has always been a comfort, there is nothing more comforting than being permanently free from this nightmarish existence with all of it's unnecessary cruelty and suffering. I've never believed in any afterlife theories and never will do, to me they are all fictional. I believe that as humans, it's our fate to return to nothingness, we only exist just to die and be forgotten about.

What I find comforting about death is that everything stops. The pain, the suffering, the trauma, all of it stops. That's the end of the horrible ride I was forced to endure. The thought of anything else happening afterwards is terrifying. I don't know how an afterlife will treat me; I could end up in a worse hell than earth or forced to praise a deity for all eternity. If reincarnation is a thing, I might end up reincarnating as a victim of sex trafficking. At least if I just die and nothing else happens, that's it. And I love that certainty.

i think that theres no single answer. to start with i dont believe in hell. i believe everyone gets forgiven after death because we are just humans and one for the biggest saying is something about humans making mistakes. also if you look at the backstory of anyone youll notice, even wrong, there is a reason for their actions. should they have noticed this and "straightened up", yeah, but theyre just human. so theres no reason for there to be a hell. as for what is after, it depends on the person. i didnt believe in heaven/hell because it just didnt make sense, people are dead and dying, that number only ever gets bigger, isnt it getting kind of crowded? (and dont ask someone religious, they just seem to get upset with you because how dare you bring up a logical question they cant answer. at least this is the response ive gotten every time which doesnt make sense, if you want me to believe you then dont just walk away prove me wrong, but whatever). so heaven/hell alone cant be an option. however i have seen "ghosts" growing up (of course now i have hallucinations so who knows). but i believe it depends on the person. some people fade away to darkness, some hang around on earth, maybe temporarily maybe forever. i also believe that they may be reincarnated (im just saying, it seems really weird that my dog died the same time my cats were born and my cats love me very very much).

so yeah, tldr, everyone gets forgiven and then either stays in "heaven", fades, stays on earth or is reincarnated depending on themselves

Reincarnation. I quite enjoy "The Egg Theory" as well, buts its far too poeticly perfect for me to actually beleive in it. I think your soul moves on and find another vessel. I think weve all lived 100 lives already and we will live 100 more after. On this plane of existance, or a different one. I dont think we are being tested and i dont think the actions you make in this life effect how your next life will be, naw. Again, thats too poetic. Its a random crap shoot that pays zero mind to you as a individual, no matter how important you think you are. The actions you took in this life are so meaningless and small.. that the fact we think somebody or something is keeping score on us 24/7 waiting to weigh your scales and deliver our reward or punish is a story born from the human ego.

I believe that for us,it's just like being asleep,you're not aware of anything,you're nothing and nowhere,just like before you were born,you just don't exist.It's complete peace and quiet for all eternity.But I do think that some of our energy is left behind when we die.One of my cats passed away a few years ago,it was the worst thing that I have ever been through.Recently we got a new kitten and she has the same unique behaviour and habits that he had.He laid in such a unique way that I have never seen another cat do and she is copying it even though they had never met each other.She behaves so much like him that it creeps me out sometimes and it reminds me so much of what it was like when he was still here.So I think that for us,death is just death,it's nothing,forever,but for everyone left behind,a part of us will always be there and never dies.

This is how I feel. If I felt confident in nothing more in the afterlife it would help my fears about my afterlife after ctb

Ok so from a physics point of view, energy is neither created nor destroyed it is just transferred to differing forms. The human body and mind are a huge energy source so my question as a fairly logical person is, where does that energy go?/ What form are we transferred to?

Possibly not helpful I know, apologies.

Hamlet's 'To Be Or Not To Be' Speech, Act 3 Scene

To be, or not to be: that is the question:
Whether 'tis nobler in the mind to suffer
The slings and arrows of outrageous fortune,
Or to take arms against a sea of troubles,
And by opposing end them? To die: to sleep;
No more; and by a sleep to say we end
The heart-ache and the thousand natural shocks
That flesh is heir to, 'tis a consummation
Devoutly to be wish'd. To die, to sleep;
To sleep: perchance to dream: ay, there's the rub;
For in that sleep of death what dreams may come
When we have shuffled off this mortal coil,
Must give us pause: there's the respect
That makes calamity of so long life;
For who would bear the whips and scorns of time,
The oppressor's wrong, the proud man's contumely,
The pangs of despised love, the law's delay,
The insolence of office and the spurns
That patient merit of the unworthy takes,
When he himself might his quietus make
With a bare bodkin? who would fardels bear,
To grunt and sweat under a weary life,
But that the dread of something after death,
The undiscover'd country from whose bourn
No traveller returns, puzzles the will
And makes us rather bear those ills we have
Than fly to others that we know not of?
Thus conscience does make cowards of us all;
And thus the native hue of resolution
Is sicklied o'er with the pale cast of thought,
And enterprises of great pith and moment
With this regard their currents turn awry,
And lose the name of action.–Soft you now!
The fair Ophelia! Nymph, in thy orisons
Be all my sins remember'd.
