Police showed up to my school asking me about SN

I was at school the other day hanging out by my friends car during lunch when my principal called my name and told me to come to his office, once I got in there he asked if I was okay and I looked at him with confusion and replied "yes?" He then told me that the lady in the front office had gotten a call from the local police department saying that they got a call from someone saying that I was gonna kill myself using SN.. the pure amount of shock that ran through me when he said that almost made me light headed. I quickly responded with "im perfectly fine, I don't know why the hell they would say that" and he said that the police where on their way to check on me. A couple minutes later I went back outside and was telling my best friend what had happened and moments later, he pointed out that the police car was making its way down the road. I went out to the front of the school and spoke to the police officers and they told me that they just wanted to help and to make sure I was okay. I told them it was a false alarm and they later left. I still have no idea who called and how they found out.

If privacy is important then familiarising oneself with these practices is the very least one should do before signing up to any kind of website. However, when reading your post, I noticed something strange:

The language in your post suggests that you are a high school student. My understanding is that, in some parts of the world, students do reach 18 years of age in their final year, either during the school year or in the summer break that immediately follows. Unless you have a birthday early in the school year, you've either not turned 18 yet or you are 18 but happen to be graduating a year later due to repeating a year at some point. Your birthday, as per your public user profile, is Nov 1st, 2002 making you 18 years old (as an example of poor OPSEC: there is no reason to make your full birthdate available to the public).

If that is true, then no rule has been broken but your join date (Oct 20, 2020) means that you were underage when you first joined and that you intentionally misrepresented your age to staff in order to bypass the no minor rule. I don't know anything about what brought you here although I think it is safe to say that you are dealing with pain that you feel is unbearable. I'm sorry that you are suffering as much as you have but I do hope that you will consider (if you haven't already) exhausting all of your treatment options first.

All treatment options have already been thrown out the window. I appreciate the kind words and the advice.

You do not say what country you live. In the U.S. phone commuications are monitored. Verizon is notorious for reporting suspicious communications. Your phone is a very unsecured means of communication. If you use a computer, do not use a public one such as the library. And avoid connecting to free WIFI. When using your home computer use a more secure search engine such as duck-duck -go. Make sure you delete cookies and searches and do not store passowords.

He wasn't using a VPN, or anything else for protection/secuity(stupidly). LEO in here could have absolutely doxxed him in a second with a Govt. snap-in.

I think it's definitely possible due to 0 OPSEC, that he was listed and further watched.

Being young as well as having money and a place to live doesn't mean anything when you're mentally ill.

But yeah, it's annoying that they lied about their age to get in. I saw another member who said they were 18 in a thread, yet their account was created 2 years prior...

And the account is nearly one yr old.

Now do the math and create the storyline that needs to be true in order for this all to add up perfectly. I'd suggest its a highly suspect storyline, with a lot of convenient twists and turns.
