Someone named Nicole on twitter wrote this.Many years ago there was a very short-lived TV sitcom called "On the Rocks" about people in prison. (You can imagine why it was short lived). In the first episode as the prisoners are being processed in, a new convict is asking the returning ex-con in front of him in line, why he scrunched down when they measured his height. His response was, "I just cheated the system out of a couple of inches. It is little victories like that which keep you from going nuts in here".
Some people do not appreciate the importance of "little victories".
