  • Hey Guest,

Today, OFCOM launched an official investigation into Sanctioned Suicide under the UK’s Online Safety Act. This has already made headlines across the UK.

This is a clear and unprecedented overreach by a foreign regulator against a U.S.-based platform. We reject this interference and will be defending the site’s existence and mission.

In addition to our public response, we are currently seeking legal representation to ensure the best possible defense in this matter. If you are a lawyer or know of one who may be able to assist, please contact us at [email protected].

Ideation is a far cry from being confronted with a serious illness, that stirs the suffer to the point of confronting the imminent prospect of death. I really do believe this conversation is reserved for people who wear the mochasins.

Still, nice to watch vlog.❤. Valid points, etc.

Of course I agree with the right to die, and it is important for people to be able to peacefully die on their own terms, but it should not be limited for the terminally ill/those with serious physical illnesses. Nobody should be forced to resort to methods that could fail. We all deserve a peaceful exit. We have no obligations to stay alive as we did not ask to exist.

I agree.

Her outlook also applies those who are suicidal and who are struggling with ongoing, untreatable mental health issues.

I guess I look at the phrase, "Please let me die," in relation to what's left of my family and in relation to anyone else who would be hurt by my passing.

Just looking at her in the first 5 seconds of the video I was like there is no way this woman wants to die. Of course it is hypothetical for her. I suppose it's good that people are supporting it. But it's a far cry from having to confront this stuff yourself.

No, she definitely is not in a position where she wants to die.

She's also a bit too perky. I don't know. I'm clinically depressed so maybe healthy, upbeat people just don't strike a chord with me.

But I appreciate her stance and I appreciate that she has the intelligence and such a strong sense of empathy where she can understand where people would want to end their lives on their own terms.

She did seem to touch on her friend's mental health and I got the feeling she would've addressed mental health directly but maybe felt that would've been too controversial.
