  • Hey Guest,

Today, OFCOM launched an official investigation into Sanctioned Suicide under the UK’s Online Safety Act. This has already made headlines across the UK.

This is a clear and unprecedented overreach by a foreign regulator against a U.S.-based platform. We reject this interference and will be defending the site’s existence and mission.

In addition to our public response, we are currently seeking legal representation to ensure the best possible defense in this matter. If you are a lawyer or know of one who may be able to assist, please contact us at [email protected].

I am almost certain that I have ADHD, and my therapist recommended that I take an ADHD test this Friday.
However, if I don't get diagnosed with ADHD, I basically have no solution to my life anymore, since I have tried everything to make my life better.
I will CTB if this happens, but hopefully, I can just get diagnosed with ADHD and start ADHD meds.

Not to rain on your parade, but I don't want you to be disappointed by pinning all your hopes on this and then being let down. I felt this way about my bpd diagnosis and again with my autism diagnosis, I fully believed those would open doors for me to receive help and support and guidance and unfortunately for me that wasn't the case. I hope that isn't your experience, but I don't want you to be disappointed. Wishing you so much luck

Like @MidnightDream said, a diagnosis from ONE healthcare provider will not be the end-all-solution you are hoping for.
Many of us have been in the system for years (some even decades) and a diagnosis is really just an opinion.
Of course I hope and wish for you to be done with this once you are starting appropriate medication.

But reality is: You'll try something, it may or may not work, then you try something else.

The hardest part of living with a mental illness is not the illness itself. It's the years of trying to find - over and over and over again - something that can alleviate your symptoms and lessen the pain. Sometimes you find a medication that helps. You take it for 2 years. Things go well. And suddenly your body decides that "this isn't doing it anymore" and you spiral and have to find something else.

It's a long road to travel and there will be many detours and dead ends ahead.
Navigating the maize of the system will be your biggest challenge and your biggest success.

Best wishes!
