I ended up in this area through circumstance, as a single man with no dependants I have no right to social housing. People live where they can can afford to live and unless you're a high earner or lucky, not where you'd like to live.



"Due to housing density, increases in population through migration, overcrowding and high levels of occupancy, the south west of xxxxxx is one of the most densely populated areas in Scotland. This places strain on local infrastructure and adds to community tensions, environmental problems and other social issues. Despite this focus on the south west of the district the highest levels of multiple deprivations exist within North xxxxxx, particularly in the predominantly social housing area to the east of xxccc Road. As of December 2012 the Scottish Index of Multiple Deprivation (SIMD) and other sources indicates that:

4 of the 12 data zones making up xxxxxx are within the bottom 15% of data zones in Scotland. One of these data zones occupies the bottom 5% of data zones in Scotland
3,796 (25.6%) of the adult population is described as 'income deprived', whilst 2,300 (22.5%) of those of employment age are 'employment deprived'.
38.2% of adults do not have any qualifications.
Life expectancy is four years lower than Scotland's average
Instances of violent crime are 159% above the Scottish average with domestic abuse incidents and drug offences 45% and 73% above.
Xxxxxxx has long been recognised as one of Scotland's deprived communities and this continues to be borne out in SIMD 2012. All but 3 of the area's 12 datazones fall into the bottom 30% of all Scottish datazones. Of these 9 datazones, 5 fall into the bottom 15% of Scottish datazones, with 4 datazones in the bottom 10%. This indicates particularly acute deprivation in much of the neighbourhood.

Xxxxxx most deprived datazones are typically found in the xxxxxx and xxxxx part of the district. Four of the five lowest ranked datazones in xxxxxx can be found in this area, all in the bottom 15% of Scottish datazones. One other datazone in the bottom 15% can be found in xxxxx West.

In addition to the above, all but two of xxxxxx SIMD datazones occupy the bottom 15% of datazones in Scotland in terms of income."

Such an amazing view I'm so jealous. Just look at the detail! (I'm just kidding if you couldn't tell) Looks like what I see every day as well, except mine have posters and other random junk on them lol.

I grew up not far from the beautiful Sydney Harbour and once lived in a harbourside suburb which had me catching a ferry to go into the city.

I travel abroad three months of the year and have done so for the last five years as it's me getting through my bucket list and building memories with those I love the most, before I CTB.

I have views of Sydney's cityscape from my kitchen and living room windows. It's gorgeous in the evening and spectacular during fireworks.

Sydney beaches are unrivaled, imo, but I prefer the beaches of the Basque Country of San Sebastian and Biarritz because of less people and the incredible food of the Basque Country.

I love solo camping (mountains and deserts) and hiking Mt Solitary is my favorite. Hours of a hike through eucalypt forest, rainforest groves and abandoned mines. The Blue Mountains is the size of Brunei and after climbing the mountain which ain't easy in the dark (my timing always is a bit off so have to climb the mountain at night), the blackness....solitude...quiet and the stars cossets you like nothing else.

In a few months I'm exploring there and Azerbaijan.

I'm trekking to an ancient Medieval village up near the border with Chechnya called Shatili. Only 22 people live there, there's no internet or restaurants and it's snowed in for 6 months of the year. Gonna be so cool hiking, baking bread and making dumplings. Seriously good grog too.

The photo shows the Medieval stone watchtowers. I think it's UNESCO.

Ja, das stimmt. Dafür dass ich aber ganz in der Nähe lebe bin ich dort auch viel zu selten. Das auf dem Bild ist noch nicht die "richtige" Nordsee, im Sinne von Watt bis zum Horizont und allem, dort sind nur leichte Gezeiten weil's eine Mündung ist. Aber trotzdem sehr schön dort spazieren zu gehen

Die Nordseeinseln sind auf jeden Fall empfehlenswert als Urlaubsort, sehr ruhig und schön.

She (I assume) said, that she loves the north sea and the sea in general and that she have not been there for a long time, sadly.
I said, that I like it too but even though I'm living near of it, I rarely go there. And that the north sea on my picture isn't the "real one", like it's more inland and the tide isn't that strong there. But it's beautiful to take walks along it!
We got little islands in the noth sea, there are no cars, it's really quit and lovely so I said it's a great (and cheap) place for vacation c:
