Thx! It doesn't happen as often as my photo postings may suggest. It happens sometimes during the winter months. During summer there're hardly any clouds here.
Last winter I had the chance so see this atmospheric halo phenomena of a 22Β° sun dog and halo. This is a result of ice crystals in the layers of the atmosphere.
The arc wasn't visible to the naked eye, only image processing revealed it. However, the sun dog was visible and that's why I captured this photo.

This looks like a stunning rurual area,
All your photos makes me feel nostalgic as it reminds me of the tiny place I just moved away from, purposefully, but ay the views there are unmatched, the ocean view there, ahh if I had a camera that could capture it, alas the people are what ruined the place for me, citys no diffrent well it is just one plus not everyone in town knows me, everyones so nosey, but I must say whoa! Just whoa, that place looks pretty breathtaking thanks you for sharing, this just reminds me of the beauty out there.
