  • Hey Guest,

Today, OFCOM launched an official investigation into Sanctioned Suicide under the UK’s Online Safety Act. This has already made headlines across the UK.

This is a clear and unprecedented overreach by a foreign regulator against a U.S.-based platform. We reject this interference and will be defending the site’s existence and mission.

In addition to our public response, we are currently seeking legal representation to ensure the best possible defense in this matter. If you are a lawyer or know of one who may be able to assist, please contact us at [email protected].

I talked to my sister in Florida today. Apparently they survived Hurricane Ian with only a power outage.. She also told me a bit about of family events. Apparently my cousin divorced her husband for another man to marry. He worked with her and was a county judge. She obviously "married up".

So for all of us who are lonely and perhaps suicidal because of it... Just remember you never know what it's like behind the doors of married or partnered couples.

It is better to be alone as people can just make things worse and create more suffering than there already is. I don't envy anyone who is still alive. Even if someone is satisfied with life right now things can easily and will very likely just get worse for them in the future. Life is unpredictable and uncertain after all and humans cannot prevent negative things from happening as long as they exist.

Happy to hear your sister is okay!

As someone who recently exited an 18 year long relationship, yeah, there's a whole story going on behind those doors. Relationships are commonly pretty complex. There's ugly stuff going on there. Ultimately, we partner ourselves to others for protection or mutual well being. But that's not a guarantee. The things we build in those spaces is fragile, it can be taken away at any time. Companionship usually feels good while we're in it, and it can be destructive when we find ourselves outside of it. I wish I could share the emotional conclusion of that relationship with folks who want to exit because they're having a hard time finding a partner. I assure you, you can have a partner and still be lonely, miserable, or suicidal.

Thank you for that reply, Cerulea....I've personally known of many marriages and relationships that ended in failure or total disaster.

As someone who's never been in a relationship, I've wondered about this myself. I know things can't always be rosy for couples, whatever image they create on social media. Relationships seem so difficult and fragile, I don't know if I want one myself anymore.
