Do you feel like you've hit your peak in life? I feel like my first true love and long term relationship was that peak for me, nothing has come close to that and at this point it feels like fantasy.

Unfortunately we fell apart and neither of us were good to each other near the end and I grew even more resentment afterwards...but since then I haven't matched any of the smiles I've gotten in the years previous, I don't see where it's possible at this point...Yes, the future is still unwritten but I can't say I want it to be, I feel like I've lived and I feel like I could die and that's that. Until then life drags on.

Do any of you feel like you've peak? If so how and why?

Whats your age? If it's around 25, it is a peak (of cognition and emotions), but having the wit and skills, you can carry on, it will just go downhill slowly.

The key is to truly start to believe that its all over. Our mind is working 24/7 to fool us as if the future still has a silver lining.

I studied 10 years for a very specific job, was very succesful and then lost it due to a psychological illness. So yes, peak life is over. If I'd be dead now, I would spare a lot of trouble (unemployment, maybe homelessness, loss of hair, making my family worry about me, 50 years later dieing poor and alone).

Germany? Don't you guys have a very developed system of welfare and social benefits?
But it's a rhetoric question. When the delusional phase of life is over (after 25), everything else doesn't matter.

I think the unfortunate thing for most is that a biological beak (pre 30) does not coincidence with a financial peak (usually post 40).

The net outcome is having access to substantial financial resources at a time when the body cannot fully exploit such resources due to the inevitable effects of old age...

Yeah I hit my peak in life as a child/pre teen and after the peak it can only go downhill from there.

Damn right! Everyone would rather have 1 mil with the condition to go completely broke by 25 than sit on bags of money after 40. Delayed gratification, thats what most ppl lack of.

This is why it is better to be born rich than to have to work all your life to become rich. By the time you've made it, your life is mostly over

Hello brother, I'm so sorry to hear for your troubles and your pain.
As someone who is utterly incapable of valuing and of my own achievements I don't know if I've peaked or not. Probably have. There are lots of things in life where I think, if if I could just get... xyz... I'd be able to achieve... abc... And things would slot in to place.
The reality is though that I'm fighting my valient best to stay still, and the horizon gets further and further away.

I've never really had a peak. I've always been at the bottom. No friends, no skills, invisible to everyone my entire life.

I'm 21 right now but I feel like in the blink of an eye I'll be 25. I don't know where the time's going, I'm still living with my parents, no friends, small town and worst of all no drive or motivation. I'm just comfortable with wasting away... I don't know how people do this...I don't know how people get out....

Probably peaked in my mid-40s. Then when down swiftly due to stress and chronic pain.

16/17 was when I peaked. I thought getting plastic surgery would help make my life better. Instead it ruined it. I'm now in my early 30's and it feels like it's over. I couldn't have imagined how short life was back then, thought I had forever

30's is still plenty of time if you have the willpower to keep going...I imagine once I blink and I'm 30 I'll feel the same though. Time's a bitch

I think I hit my peak when I was about eight, nine years old. Everything has just gone downhill since then.

I'm definitely in a trough right now. I feel like I've been thrown off course and won't ever get out of said trough.
